Also managed to break two hoses at the connections, BH curl and outrigger raise, within a week of each other….and so it goes…
The joys of machine ownership lol. I blew an outrigger hose on my last backhoe job.

Doing some serious snowblowing with a 63” blower on my GC1720. Works perfectly and plenty of power even at 6,000 feet elevation. Real happy with the blower and the GC1720.

Langanobob, looks like you had yourself a few hours of seat time snow blowing...

F.Y.I.: Many years ago I added added a riser with some 1/8" aluminum diamond plate (had pieces of material on

hand) to the top of my MF snowblower, because the snow keep coming over the top of the blower as I was using it

in deep snow.

In this thread, post #703 & #828 shows a couple of pictures of my snowblower with the risers.

Got the tines indexed for the grapple model I'm making up and ripped a 2x4 for the backing piece. Drilled holes down low for a round tube cross member. 1st 2 observations are that I want to round the bottom angle at the top of the tines and cerate the top 6" from the tip or so of the tines to grab and hold material. I'll probably start design on the upper jaw tomorrow

That's a super-serious wood mockup prototype, CG.

Well we got some snow around here finally, around 6ish" altogether I guess. I plowed last night and again this morning.

It'll be a fully functional model. I won't go use on debris per say but I intend to attach the hydraulics and put it on the tractor to test dump angles, clearances, function, etc. A sheet of AR400 is nearly $1k around here so I wanna make sure I'm absolutely sure on design before I pull out my plasma cutter and cutting.

We finally got some snow here as well. Nothing worth plowing though

I'm building a 12 x 16 lean to roof attached to one of my yard sheds. I need a place to park my CG1723 when the snow comes. I dug the post holes with the backhoe.

Looks nice- will it be able to handle the snow ?
Was thinking of something similar, eventually if wood prices ever come down.

Will you have to lower the rops each time?
