Like I said, my local dealer is 2 hours away. How can I support them? That's a 4 hour round trip of times, gas and the high dealer markup. hmmmm

I don't think any discounts would even help. A majority of folks don't have dealers within 30mins of a drive. Even 1 hour away becomes typical. There are the lucky few to have dealers right in their own town.

Most if not all dealers will ship, call/email them, they will set you up. My MF dealer is 30 minutes away, I enjoy going out, lots of nice tractors to look at. Up until this dealer took the MF line on, I had things shipped from the next dealer an hour away.

With all the details above, the FRAM is a no-no because the micron rating is too fine and the flow will be much slower in the engine. The engine will starve for oil circulation.

The WIX is class-B (Better) and the Pro-Tech Class-A (Best). So, Pro-Tech is your best all around great replacement as the E6201-32443.

Good data, question? I thought the purpose of the relief bypass was to make sure the engine didn't starve for oil if the need exceeded the flow rate of the filter?

Ill order parts from dealer , even if they have to be shipped, over amazon or ebay, because at least i can be reasonably assured their not some Chinese rip off part.

i used to get so many fake parts from amazon and flea bay, i lost track. Everything from knock off sun glasses to knock off norelco electric razor blades that tore hairs out of face. It gets to a point i hardly shop online much anymore.

my wife purchased a replacement hp laptop battery from flea bay that looks exactly like the original..exactly. But lasts about 15 minutes after full charge. Chinese knock off. Sent it back waiting for refund. She picked one up at bestbuy, and gets 3 days on a charge.

Whenever I need filters or such, if I wait for a stock order, it does not cost any extra. They are a busy dealer, so stock orders are done regularly.

Someone I said that to once asked me if I was able to preserve that relationship that drove me here. I couldn't. But I ended up doing way better.

The by-pass is when the filter is fully loaded and can't filter much more. Thus, it 'by-passes' the filtration media.

IF the filter is already small micron and preventing flow and the by-pass is working to, then run the machine with NO FILTER WHATSOEVER because it makes no sense to BY-PASS to begin with.
