When I bought my first tractor, a Kubota, the JD dealer didn’t seem interested in me. This time around a Kubota dealer didn’t bother to call me back and the JD salesman seem interested. Luck on the salesman?

For sure.. The initial salesperson will make or break the deal. Went to local auto dealership to buy a truck. Sales person threw a brochure my way and continued her conversation with another salesman. I bought the truck else where.

After the sale, it's to your benefit to make friends with the service people. My Deere service manager prints pages of the repair manual for me. The parts counter man lives in my direction. He's dropped off parts on his way home. I'm not in a small town.

I've had the dealer do this for me too. At times they've even loaned me the whole service manual.
