What is the lever beside the PTO lever?

Yes the tractor seat is at a good position to go from standing to sitting easily. Though I think it could be a couple inches lower and would not make much of a difference. Though tested it out and I wouldnt want to move it any more forward.

The seat is different from the one farmer 495 has.

One of the brake pedals is wore out where it attaches. I had to put a hose clamp around both pedals to keep them together. Otherwise the clasp that holds the pedals together would slip out and i'd only push in one of the brakes. Does anyone know how to fix this? Do I need a new pedal, if so where?

Raise response, supposed to control how quick the draft control reacts to lift a plow etc. I never use it.

Brake pedals likely never greased, there is a hard to reach fitting behind all the cowling. There are no wiggle on mine, tight as new and greased often. Not sure if there is a bushing that can be replaced etc.

I'd put a different seat on it if the one on it is not suitable. Nothing I hate worse than a poor seat that makes operation awkward. Personally I'd find the correct one at salvage yard. The cushions can be bought and installed separate if they are junk.

Seat and canopy should be the same, 395 is 3cyl version (D155) of the 4 cyl D206 in the 585. 35 PTO HP versus 52 in the 585. I think most of the other "bolt on" parts fit, but you can compare what you specifically want on the Case IH parts website by seeing if the part number is the same.
