Lots of replies and opinions. I'm actually surprised at the ones who are ambivalent to taking a dump on others property...makes you wonder what their own property looks like... at any rate, we will take the actions we need too in order to resolve this amicably here.

Yes, Its My property as well as the other neighbors on the road. It does not belong to the people who ride the horses on it. Its a 100% private road, Owned and maintained by the residents period.Im not a city boy, but also don't like horse **** in my house. If thats your preference, its ok, I don't judge

We have our share of that here in Boston..Google Mass and Case Boston. .. They just recently "cleaned up" the are ..Which means they moved the mess down the street where it was less noticeable to the general public. The final straw was when they found a dead woman ( Overdose ) who had been a sex toy for the other junkies on the street until she began to decay and smell... Welcome to Boston

To clarify points in question. The road was here before the lots were permitted. It was a public road that was then converted to a private road via a planning board decision. IE no public access granted and no town responsibility for maintenance. Road does not grant any other public access by right. The stables in question are a somewhat new 6-7 year old business

survey the other property owners along the road and if there is a majority consensus that the horse crap is a problem then you have an edge when talking to the stable owner about cleaning it up.

sounds like it’s an occasional thing for the riders to use the road anyway so many others are bothered by it you can probably get something done.

if you are the only one, probably - tough luck.

In our area there are a few private roads but they are all in gated communities where access is denied or approved at the gate. Does "your" private road have signs up stating it is a private road and trespassing is not permitted? If not, how do you expect people to know it is a private road?

I do not, Im also confident that they can't give cart blanche permission due to the legal ownership of the road. In other words, if I said to 10 of my buddies it was ok to ride their dirt bikes up and down the road all day.. Its ok. ...I do not have that right.
