Edge Tamer

I'm trying to figure a way to mount the edge tamers to the 7 foot rear scrape blade for winter snow.

Yup, they work that well! ;-)

I might prefer the old welded type when it comes to rebuilding worn bottoms.

Found these today looking for bushhog blades. Don’t look too hard fabricate. Used blades should make a good skid.

For what it’s worth there is a Chinese version on Walmart.com at a much more reasonable price

I've had mine 4 years now? I use them every snow season until the ground freezes up hard, then I don't need them and take them off. After a lot of use, I still can't see any real wear on the bottoms. Sure, the paint is gone, but I see no evidence of wear. Mostly used on dirt and gravel driveways.

I'm very happy with the quality of mine as well. I also bought the edge extenders for carrying fence posts and whatnot. And I've considered getting the trash can carry bracket as well for setting the can out by the road in winter.

thanks for the tip I just looked them up !
Walmart Chinese deal is two tamers for $70 but I need at least three tamers so I would have to pay $140 plus tax. Seems like I would prefer to pay $209 for three higher quality Edge Tamers delivered to my home that are actually made in the USA . I also wonder how long the plastic tightening handles on the Chinese version might last.
I see there is also another copycat version on eBay that costs even more than my actual Edge Tamers.

The knock offs are more expensive than the good ones. I have a set of the older type ordered in 2020. Unless a weld breaks I think it's the only set I'll ever need.

Amazon has the same units Cycledude describes. I'm considering the knock-offs for my bigger machine. The plastic locking studs can always be replaced with a simple 12mm bolt.

Interesting. I had to laugh. Shows Orange. Looks good. Change color to green and the same product goes from $69 to $89. About a 25% increase. Green paint really does cost more for the same product. I am surprised. Just think of what it would cost if they stamped Deere on it.
