I’ve always liked a Ford cab but a Chevy has always been more friendly to work on, been more reliable and rides better IMO. Currently I’m driving a V12 250 and a 750 with a Cummins though. I still have my 92 3500 ton. It’s been a dang good truck but it’s low on power. I’d like to have a newer ton but I’m not paying what they cost when a medium duty is so much stronger and cost less.
I like all truck brands. They have their strengths. I think Ram has come a long way from being a distant 3rd and made up ground on the other 2. Now I think they have finally passed them. They listened to their customers, looked at what Ford & GM do better and built a much improved truck around the best diesel.
Id still drive any of the 3, but like Rams torque, cab size and towing specs the most important to me.

I’ll agree with that claim but I’m still buying trucks from the days when ram sucked lol. I hate the new front ends on a Chevy truck. When I do decide to buy something newer it won’t be one of those. I’m not a fan of the new Chevy seats either.

Yeah old reputations die hard. Loved the look of the early Dodge Ram/Cummins trucks, but yeah they weren’t the best.

Which brings up a good point, in 2008-2010 their was dodge with a good motor and marginal everything else. You had Ford with a strong motor, maintenance dependent, but good chassis and tranny. Then Chevy had mediocre everything.

So trying to be in 2022 and cast stones back a decade is a fools errand.

I take that back...the cummins had their own emission growing pains in the early 6.7...

Oil and diesel filter changes are pretty much a wash between both platforms...where else are the high maintenance costs?
Removing the fenders to do routine service is one reason hy the $150 Cummins service is $500 for the power stroke.

I have never had to do anything beyond routine maintenance on my 2007 Dodge Cummins. Not the truck or the engine.

It's all relative rick...do you consider front ends on dodges to be part of maintenance costs because one could make an argument for that.
I’ve never had to do any front end work on my Dodge, but it is 4x4

Tell me you don't know powerstrokes with out telling me you don't know powerstrokes. Where do you get this bad info from...?
