The one picture, maybe both, are from here. I recall trees that big on log trucks back in the day, but not with trucks that old, so those pictures are before my time. Mills these days could not handle trees that size, probably a good thing. Keeps some remaining old growth.

I found the second picture at the Skagit River Journal site. Skagit River Journal
When BravoXray first posted it I thought the town looked familiar. However, there isn't enough detail to definitively say that it is Sedro-Woolley. When I look at Google Maps, Sedro-Woolley, Metcalf St @ Woodworth St looking south, all I can say is very similar

Well we got a fresh one near Ann Arbor on Friday evening.

bridge damage.jpg

And now what we get is this:

bridge removed.jpg

Estimate is 8 MILLION dollars to replace the bridge. It's not a vital link around town, but the detour is several annoying miles either way if you need to cross the highway here. It was a "low" bridge at 13 feet 10 inches, with multiple warning signs preceding it.

Was heading south bound at this time and our left lane was closed because of a big chunk of barrier concrete in the left lane. No traffic heading north, ambulance just heading north bound when we approached accident from north. Did not know what caused chunk of concrete to blow apart. Coming north on Saturday afternoon, had to detour around the area. Going back south on Thursday, hopefully we can get through the area without detours. Hopefully occupants were not hurt seriously.
