The Yanmar YM276D with the loader has model YFL1000 attached to it. I have a manual and brochure for the YFL1075, but not the YFL1000. Does anyone know the difference in the models between to two variations? Both were made for the YM276 models from what information is available. Thank you.

Thank you for the brochure. It's in better shape than the copy in the tractor folder. I don't see any reference to the YFL1000, just the YFL1075. Some manuals selling on the auction site make it seem as though both the YFL1000 and YFL1075 are both quick attach and made for the YM276 variety of tractors.

I've not see any documentation on a YFL1000. Looking up in a web search, it does exist. Seen it on a YM276 that was for sale. Nothing else. A rare bird really.

On the Yanmar Tractor Owners Group, we received a donation of the YFL1075. The front cover had to be re-invented as close to the original.

Now with that all said, I do have the Gray Market YFL and other Y-- loaders.

Glean from these?

Darn, the 3rd one is too big to add here. It has the YFLs that are both 3-digit and 4-digit YM Series. It does show how those loaders are used for both.

The main differences are three things:
The control valve was markedly improved.
The seals in the cylinders were improved.
And rear reinforcing rails that went all the way to the drawbar were added.

This was the same for the YFL 800 and YFL875 for the YM220/226; the YFL
1500 and YFL1575 for the YM336.

I am guessing the manual for the YFL1075 will prove sufficient to cover most things on the YFL1000 keeping in mind the differences you noted.

There is 1 YFL1000 manual listed on eBay right now. Otherwise, I wasn't able to dig up anything else.

Thanks for that information. eBay had the identical parts manual listed without all the proper terminology at a lower price, so I purchased that less expensive copy. The owner's manual is costly, and with already owning the copy of the YFL 1075 Owner's Manual, I am hoping the current two manuals will suffice.

Thanks for that information. eBay had a lower priced parts manual listed without all the proper terminology and at a less significant price, so I purchased that less expensive copy. The operator's manual is a bit expensive right now, and with already owning the copy of the YFL 1075 Operator's Manual, I am hoping those two manuals will suffice.

Wish the Yanmar Tractor Owners Group had the documentation to share on this one. :)

Glad to help find the eBay manual. It should answer plenty of the question you have.

I had a bit of time to work on the tractor and changed the ignition switch since there was no key. It did not turn over, but a charge to the battery should change that. Here are some pictures of the controls for the YFL1000. It looks to me like there is one control to raise and lower the unit and another to curl the bucket. Would you recommend keeping this setup or replacing it with a new model? If so, any ideas what replacement might work? Thanks.

I had a bit of time to work on the tractor and changed the ignition switch since there was no key.

If I recall, there were only 2 types of keys for the YM Series. The Tree Frog type and the Red Apple type. And sometimes they would over lap depending on how the machines transitioned.

The Read Apple tractor keys were also the John Deere 50 Series keys. Note the icon brand details. I use either to start my machine.

I can not be sure about where the hoses go on your setup but if the two hoses with the quick disconnects go to the suction and discharge of the pump you need to know if that discharge quick connect ever gets disconnected with the engine running your pump will be immediately dead headed.

If your valve works good for you, why change?

With more photos we could see where the hoses all go. And that would make a difference in what valve you replaced yours with. There are several different ways to plumb a FEL to a Yanmar.

More importantly, why would you want to replace the valve in the first place?

Ditto! There's a lot of stuff Yanmar got right and trying to 'improve' what they designed is pointless.

I don't see any leaked oil on the underside of that valve which might be the only reason to replace it.

That said - I had to replace the ancient AICO (third-party) loader control on the YM240 because it dribbled on my foot when lifting and seemed weak.

I looked through my old photos posted here and they are attached to the following posts, in threads where I asked a lot of beginner questions. I'll leave it to you to wander through the threads where I gradually learned enough to do the project right.

But my advice stands - don't replace anything until its unavoidable. Not even hoses. The hoses have two steel mesh layers and can look awful while still working same as new.
