Kioti Broken in Half

Obvious abuse. Using a little farm tractor as a piece of heavy equipment. That grapple is ridiculous mounted on that loader/tractor. Anyway, 30 pages of discussion, phew!

One thing we can agree on after all the discussion is that Bigfoot didn't sneak into the seat when no one was looking and cause havoc. Or can we?? 😁

For my own amusement I brought up this machine at my local Kioti dealer, and wouldn't you know it, the machine has been sold and supported by their other branch. Not only that, but the gentleman I was speaking to had seen this very machine on numerous occasions. The conversation was enlightening; this machines demise was inevitable, having seen a short but rough life of abuse. It seems both the dealership and Kioti were cooperative with previous issue(s!) that could be argued as abuse, and by the time he broke his machine in half they were done with him. I don't know what more to share, but if a Moderator or Administrator would like the remaining details I will fill them in; I'm just not about to publicly post specifics that could very well be wrong, given it is still just one side of the story.

I will say this, between this thread, the photos, and my talk at the dealership- I absolutely believe this was abuse, and that Kioti makes a damn good product.

No. Not even close. Treating a farm tractor like a piece of industrial dirt/logging equipment will get you that result. Every time.

Though I will say I noticed additional factory steel welded (small patches or gussets on both sides) on the px9020 frame vs the DK90 frame right where a stress concentration occurs. I am not worried about my DK in the least. I don't operate it like a dozer or forestry skidder.

shouldn't that be under warranty

A lot of people think that since they paid so much money for their tractor that it should be indestructible. That’s not the case. A tractor is really a pretty delicate piece of equipment. A loader is designed for loading, not ramming, prying or dozing.

Back in our college days ('60s) we helped Mike S remove the pone-piece rubber floor-mat from his '55 Chevy pickup so he could deal with the rust beneath it. Bob didn't have a garage so we folded it and tucked it under the house's overhang to be out of the way when mowing the lawn.

The next weekend we were ready to re-install it but the mat had disappeared. Bob's Mom (4' 10", 120 lbs or so) said she'd cut it up and it went out with the garbage, unnoticed by us in spite of its size and weight. We joked that she'd cut up a bowling ball if we looked the other way. Look the other way, and give an old person enough time, and you might be surprised what they can accomplish.

Some of us aren't that old yet and can do things quicker with a tractor than with Kitchen scissors or hedge clippers. It takes all kinds.
