> Oh that is quite the find, if that is indeed there boat.

It is indeed Shackleton's ship. It has the name "Endurance" on it :)

That was an interesting article. Very enjoyable, thanks.
One minor criticism of the author (and many other authors) would be the incessant need to bring up “man made global warming”.
Has little to nothing to do with the otherwise amazing finding of the shipwreck.

Pictures of it are incredible. Looks like you could float it and sail it.

Did we read the same article? Where's the global warming you are talking about. Not saying it's not there, but i didn't see mention of it.

Here ya go

”In addition to the expedition team, several ice researchers were on board, including Stefanie Arndt of the Alfred Wegener Institute in Germany. Dr. Arndt, who studies how Antarctic sea ice may change as the world warms because of human-caused emissions of greenhouse gases, and others spent much time out on the ice drilling cores. On Monday she said on Twitter that they had collected 630 samples from 17 locations, which she called “an incredible number.”

“Human caused”? Like theres no natural causes to warm the world?
The media just cant help themselves.

The very last paragraph mentioned that also on board the research ship were people taking is cores to see if man-made global warming may affect ice.

How about we don't turn this into yet another thread that turns south after 4 posts?

Get it? South? The South Pole...

Geeze, no sense of humor.
