I'm saying it based on reputation.

Snapon is a premium brand.... But what can a snapon wrench or socket so that a kobalt, craftsman, Napa, or harbor freight one can't.....(other than bankrupt you).

Similar. No idea which one is better. Or if you could even tell a difference.

The perception is that prince is top tier. Thus costs more.

Same for their cylinders. Price a chief or maxim or magistar cylinder then price a prince.
Your feedback is appreciated! We used thousands of prince valves and cylinders over the years in manufacturing farm tillage and seeding equipment. They were one of the innovators of the rephasing (master/slave) cylinders used to synchronize multi section implements of 60 feet width and even larger today.

Sometimes, higher price is a marketing tool. A bit counterintuitive, but some people perceive higher cost as indicative of higher quality. Low prices can give the impression that a product is cheaply made.

One reason I like the TYM is that it comes with two sets of rear valves already installed and the price is still lower than competition.

I agree about the higher price being a "marketing tool". It probably works well until folks like us at TBN discover that the same valve can be had at half price.

OP reporting back.

Here is the remote Summit four spool valve mounted and plumbed to top and tilt with the two remaining spools having the 3/8" 7241-1 Series A quick couplers. I use this particular coupler as the 3/8" size allows direct mount of the couplers to the valve body which eliminates a bunch of extra hoses as shown.

Nice and clean! Great job!

The smaller QDs definitely save a lot of hassle and extra expense with a bunch of fittings or hoses, depending on the setup.

Thanks!

Yes, it takes plenty of hoses and fittings just to plumb the three lines to the new valve as well as the TNT. The fit and finish on the Summit valve (made by Badestnost) look good.

I was using a manual selector valve (seen upper right with the yellow handle in the pic) plumbed off of the loader bucket tilt circuit to operate just a top link cylinder. Will keep the selector in place as might be useful for another function such as hydraulic lock on the SSQA.

An obvious disadvantage of having couplers direct mounted to the valve, as seen in the above photo, is that any couplers larger than the 3/8" size won't fit. I have one situation where I use a friends twelve foot grass seed drill which has 1/2" Pioneer type couplers on it's pair of hydraulic hoses.

I've used a pair of adapters in the past that simply plugged into the pair of tractor hoses that went from the diverter valve to the back of the tractor to serve as a remote. The couplers were not mounted but rather just plumbed to each "loose" hose.

I'm wondering, in lieu of using a short piece of hose as part of at least one of the two coupler adapters to overcome the close spacing issue, whether I can just plug each existing adapter into separate spools of the valve shown above.

To achieve the spacing necessary, one adapter would go into the valve "A" port and the other adapter would go into the "B" port on the adjacent spool. Then, to operate the cylinder on the grass seeder, pull or push those two spool handles in unison and in the same direction to raise or lower the drill openers.

For example, to raise the openers, PULL both handles and then to lower PUSH both handles. Seems like it should work. Right?

sounds like what you're saying would work, but its not really ideal. I did 90 degree fittings splayed out to fit 1/2" couplers. perhaps you could do 45's?
