I went yesterday and got the oil and lights for my lift and I haven't even got a shipping date yet. I am as excited as a kid on X-mas. My wife wishes I would hush about my new toy.

Just tell her when it gets here you'll give her a ride on it. Followed by "that smile".

Oh yeah the accessories...
One of the first I bought was a roll-able oil drain.

All that is above my pay grade...lol

All I have is a 3 ton IR air hoist on a trolley running the length of the shop on an I beam. It picks up anything I need to lift. I mostly use it when I rebuild excavator buckets for positioning them for welding. Cost was pretty cheap too. Got the beam from a salvage yard years ago cheap and the air hoist came from a machinery auction, paid 100 bucks for it. it's positive stop with roller chain instead of cable for lifting.

I still use the old venerable lift ramps but I built a set myself that are much longer and higher than store bought ones.

There's a place outside of Ft. Worth, TX that builds lifts, used to be called LiftCo, now something else. They will custom build lifts to your height specification. They built my 2-post 1 foot shorter than normal. I moved and now have a 4-post. I like it a lot better.

Most two post hoists won't stand up in a 10' ceiling.

I'm guessing at the ceiling height. When he has a Chevelle or GTO on the lift the wheels are at chest height. I couldn't work under it without a rolling chair but he seems to do OK.

I just installed a BendPak 9K 4 Post lift in my garage, I wish I had done it years ago! I installed it myself, using my tractor and the garage beam hoist, it was pretty easy actually!
I got the 220V version because I already had plenty of power to the garage.

I also got the sliding air Jack, wheel Kit And rolling oil funnel thingy. 4 post works best for me because I also use it for winter storage. I don’t know about other lifts but the BendPak runways are adjustable to accommodate different width vehicles. I have 81 inches clear under the crossbars.

It’s SO nice to do maintenance standing up! One piece of advice: Do NOT tell family or neighbors you have a lift!! You’ll spend every Saturday and Sunday “Helping” them work on their vehicles!!

I have thought about the oil drain but with the jack tray I figured I would just put my old oil catch pan on it. I may need something to put on my father's day list

Ah if that is already covered maybe power outlets (120 plus 240 VAC for welder) and a nearby air hose connection and self retracting reel. roll-able tool chest?

If I ask for an other tool chest she would probably lock me in the shop, wait a minute that's not a bad idea.
