You ever been out on a frozen lake on a calm day or night and hear the ice booming? I've had it crack right under me like that. Weird thing is, when it's booming, it's making ice. It's a good sound. But scares the heck out of novices.

A few from yesterday. This is at Courtney lake NFS Campground which is a super nice little CG that we've stayed at many times. They get a tad more snow than we do it town. This parking lot is for ice fishmen.

These were taken at Twin Lakes DNR office that they groom a short little trail tat.

There happened to be a be a Department of Natural resources employee there who had his friendly mutt with him.

Things went crazy! Everyone was cashing and growling.

After the tussling, we go for a little ski.

I remember many years ago, seeing a sign that showed the amount of snow that accumulated. I remember the sign was vertical and it showed about 300". Is that sign still up there.

Th snow depth gauge is still there along highway 41 and up in the Kewee from us..

We are still skiing here but the snow is really going down. If we got more exciting snow photos, I'll post them.

Upper Peninsula community surpasses 300-inches of snowfall​

The Keweenaw County Road Commission is reporting 300.5” for the season with more snowfall expected. (Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau)
KEWEENAW COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- While the snow is melting across much of Michigan, parts of the Upper Peninsula will be dealing with winter-like weather far into spring.

The Keweenaw County Road Commission is reporting 300.5” of snow so far this season.
On average, the Keweenaw Peninsula, which is located off of Lake Superior receives 270 inches of snow each winter.

Maybe for you, but probably not for ArlyA for awhile. We are in northern lower Michigan and still have some snow on the ground and we receive a lot less than he does. Jon
