What is the best 24 volt to 12 volt conversion kit for a 1963 Deere 4010 diesel? I intend to use 1 group 31 battery. Mounted by the starter. I need a

You asked about conversion kits. No I didn't research them. If it was my tractor I wouldn't order a kit but just get 12 volt starter & alternator then perform simple modifications on wiring harness. I never liked the location or life span of the long/narrow batteries on JD 10 & 20 series rowcrop tractors

Exhaustion leads one to choose easier routes if possible. Anything that eliminates thinking.

Anymore I can really screw some stuff up. It's best I avoid doing things when tired - which seems to be about all the time.
So I have limited time in which to try and catch things up. If I can pay a little more and get a kit, that's the best move for me these days
