this model is registered with branson as the date of purchase being april 08, 2011

no your should be a 2011 they general make the tractors in batches every quarter of the year, so yours being sold in the second quarter tells me it should be a 2011 unless it was a hold over stock at the dealer at the time of sale which while possible is generally unlikely, but from what branson has listed i would be confident to call that a 2011 model

Thank you for the information. What’s interesting is the seller told me it was 2014, and the date listed on the engine emission placard shows 2012.

unfortunately the EU versions i don't think share the same system, i did try to run your number but it doesn't give me any info about it.

Asteral it's nice of you to look these serial numbers up.
I find it rather interesting that Branson doesn't have a serial number to year listing.
Instead you have to look up when it was sold and the warranty paperwork was turned in.
These can are are quite different at times, I know that my 8050 sat at the dealers for almost a year before I bought it, which was over the calendar year.
