Even snow in Keweenaw melts and goes away at some time so I guess this snow thread will go away with the snow. Had a good run though.
Well yes, the snow is melting but I'll start up again next fall. For now, give me a bit and I'll post snow pics taken this week.

Arly, what was the air temps during that last ski? It is trying to warm up in northern lower, but we had a skiff of snow Weds moring. Today is in the 50's, little wind and lots of sun. Yeah! Jon.

Seems it was in the 40's when those were taken, we did have a cool day this week when the high was like 33 so I can't recall for sure. Over the weekend we will be near 60 here.

Ya, looks like the snow days are numbered.
We used to live in a big snow area of northern New England and late winter/early spring was a wonderful time of the year. You knew spring was coming, winter going and each day would likely be warmer and sunnier than the last. It was a rebirth and we loved spring with snow on the way out.

4 years ago in April, Vanderbilt, MI got dumped on. About 30" worth of snow. Took me 10 hours to snowblow my 3/8 mile drive. Usual time is 2 hours. Had to get off tractor every 10ft or so, and shake the understory trees bent over into the drive. Haven't seen that much snowfall at one time since. Not like what Arly might see. Jon

30" is a big snowfall. My difficulty in northern New England was a deep but light snow on a windy day. By the time you were done plowing, the wind filled everything in again and you had to start over. Often a third time the next day along with more snow.

Somewhere Arly mentioned his annual snowfall and it was a shocker. I'll bet he's seen it all.
