i have cleaned all the filters and screens blown out the condenser rinsed off the radiator still not getting a reading less than 70 coming out the vents. Any suggestions ? Compressor is kicking on . Usually runs vey cold but not anymore. Also haven’t seen any water draining from the line not sure if that is part of it or separate issue
thanks for any advice

I don't know your tractor but I know systems. You could have a bad heater valve that isn't closing. If your heater core is by your evaporator core it will have to fight the heat. I put a valve by the engine and closed it off and fixed that problem.

You say your compressor is kicking on. Have you watched the clutch to make sure it is engaging? It should engage and stay engaged for a little while. If it kicks on and kicks off your system may be low of refrigerant. Just add some if you have a good system that worked fine last year. If your compressor stays on for 30 seconds or more you have enough charge. So that makes me think your heater may be the problem. It could also be an air diverter problem. But hot weather is here and with a glass cab, AC has to work.

Tighten every fitting, or make sure they're tight.

I bet you have rodents/or material that has blown into your tractor cab top and the water drain is clogged, or like has happened once with my tractor, the blend air door cable popped off up in the HVAC system under the cab top leaving the blend door stuck. Alternatively, the high and low side Schraders are right around the upper radiator hose, just above the thermostat and you could screw in an AC manifold set and check pressures (do this only if you know what you're doing).

I use a Radiator Genie for cleaning out the screens and cooling radiators as well as for blowing out air filters. Hands down the Radiator Genie is better than my regular blower wands I use as a mechanic.

See this video for cab removal.

Eric, already checked no blockage from rodents keep a pretty clean barn Nothing is draining because it’s not condensing ltemp is in the low 70s coming out of the vents

Check my edit. since I remembered that it happened on my tractor, I added that one of the cables may have popped off that controls your HVAC controls.

Thanks did the blend air door cable come off in the removal of the cab ?

It just popped of the end of the cable at the d blend air door. It was child’s play to put it back on and confirm that it wasn’t going to come off again. The cable on my tractor was the hot cold bend air door. The knob had started binding then loose feeling and then just loose.

Got it thanks. Checked the Low side this evening at it was in the low range of normal. Gave it a 1/2 second squirt and ordered the genie tool. Hoping maybe it is still dirty will at least try that this week. belt seemed tight running out of options it’s in the 90s and wheat harvest starts in a couple of weeks so I need some cool temps I’ve got to plant my farm right after we combine the wheat.

Is there an electric thermocouple involved? It will be in the top. I replaced one of those and it started blowing cold. The only way I thought that was the problem was by checking the rest of the system.

Don't think there is but there is something called a thermocon might be the same thing that prevent the evaporator from freezing maybe it's messed up or a bad expansion valve

Right: the thermocon prevents the AC compressor from spinning when the AC environment is too cold (it can and will warm up enough in the winter to work as a defrost). So to visually confirm function, you look at the compressor clutch and confirm that it is locked and spinning the compressor.

Still haven’t figured out anything but did order the radiator genie that Eric recommended and man that thing is awesome. Rinsed the radiator and the fins off they were dirty Compared to my regular hose and leaf blower so they are very clean now unfortunately the AC still isn’t real cold but do appreciate the advice and it will be handy to have after combining the wheat to clean off the combine. starting to look like I’m going to have to take it an hour away to the dealer ☹️

I think you should pop the six 12mm nuts and the red tab that hold the top of the tractor cab off and inspect for a pile of garbage up there. Trust me on its own the NX cab can suck junk in and with a mouse Highway, it can get much worse. PM me and I’ll share my number and can walk you through the process. Get a helper for handling the cab top.

Have you tried a valve in the heater line to keep hot water out of the system.

Lou, I have not I have a lot of skill but this AC is testing my knowledge. Is there a YouTube video showing so thing similar ?

I have great air flow through every vent. I used the wand and blew air through each one and had it come out of them all with zero debris., I’m allergic to everything mice so I feel like I would have smelled it if I had one up there. I have so much poison and traps around the barn I just don’t have many . I have to plant soybeans tomorrow but will pm you my number if you think that could be causing it. Dealer says my temps should be around 45. I average 65-70 with clean fins now

SOP for me on my tractors, cars and trucks. An inline WOG (ball valve) in either of the heater feed lines to cut the flow of hot coolant in the summer. The heater valves all tend to bypass coolant so I eliminate that issue. My cab roofs come off yearly for a system clean up top. New tractors may have the ac/heater units under the sear as well. Same applies but seat removal instead. I would never add refrigerant without a set of gages and the correct refrigerant.

I've switched to dry propane myself, which is compatible with all refrigerants but hard to find and not cheap.

Where's the evaporator? Can you get to and clean it? Can you evacuate the whole thing and refill it?

Is the drier okay? It could be something is obstructing the flow of the freezetone in the line somewhere.

Good luck. This is why A/C mechanics drink a lot.
