This is one of my favorite snacks. Lay a layer of saltine crackers on a plate. Pour hot tea over them and sprinkle with sugar.

Two Fig Newtons with a slice of Velveeta Cheese.

My Dad used to fry up bacon, remove it from skillet, add hominy, greens (spinach or whatever was in season), and tomatoes. After tossing those together in some of the bacon grease, he would add the bacon back in. Probably not the healthiest (he did have several bypass surgeries late in life) but sure was tasty.

Fresh bread
Good unsalted butter
Chocolate, either shaved bar or chips (shaved bar is best but chips are right there and easy)
Optionally as a sandwich to keep the chocolate from falling off when you eat it

It's basically an instant dessert, I've eaten it all my life (probably a couple times a week haha)

Fresh bread
Good unsalted butter

Optionally as a sandwich to keep the chocolate from falling off when you eat it

Russian Salad (never was a fan unless the Mayo was homemade)
Tripe
Chitlins
Rice & liver stuffing
Popara (a savory bread pudding I loved for breakfast)

Grandmother used to make home made fudge.....would melt in your mouth just looking at it. Way back in the '70's.
