We are getting ready to purchase some new pillows for our bed. I HATE pillow shopping. I have had so many different kinds of pillows and none ever seem to fit me. What are you guys/gals using? This is one area where I will spend the money if it is worth it for the right pillow. I know they are expensive like everything else but I value my sleep and how it makes my neck and back feel. Anyone else have issues finding the right pillow?

I've only spent the past 50 years searching for the right pillow. They are scarcer than hens teeth. To hard, to soft, to short, to tall. I wake up with either a stiff neck or a sore or soggy ear. If you find the perfect pillow, it will be by accident, not by asking for opinions.

My wife got new pillows a few years ago and I refuse to use them. THey're a memory foam of sort, it's annoying because it holds my head up to high, then it collapses and my head is surrounded by pillow on both sides. I only use duck down, and it has been great.

I have tried every fancy pillow there is. Memory foam, purple, my pillow, etc. They all suck. If a guy could figure out how to make a pillow like a air ride seat I think you would have the holy grail of pillows.

The 'My Overpriced Chuck of Foam Rubber' guy is flat out insane.

Last couple of pillows I got were from Big Lots ... about $15 for two as I recall.

That is one pillow I hav e not tried. I will look into that.
It can be completely flat or full of feathers depending on how you're sleeping. Sometimes I'm on my back, side, or stomach. And a different amount of feathers are comfortable for each position.

Heh.. Paid upwards of $120 for a pillow that felt really good in store. Lasted less than 2 months and wasn't all that good at home in real use anyways.. I gave up and just get Dollar General pillows now. $6 or so and work fine for 4-6 months or so. Toss and rebuy.

I also HATE shopping for a pillow. I have bought those that were soft, or cool, or just right, or everything else. some were $60 or more, one pair was $110 each. NONE were comfortable to me.
I saw the "my Pillow" at Bed Bath and ....... store. It cost $63 and looked like it was cheaply made. So I did not consider it. That is when I bought the $110 pillows. THEY were awful.
A friend that visits us in Branson always brings her pillow with her. Never would use ours. It was "my pillow." Then a couple months later, Sam's club had boxes of mypillow in a stack for $19.99. So, I thought - for $20 I will try it.

For some reason it works very well for me. But I guess there are instructions that it needs to be activated in the dryer before use. And it can be washed. I am old enough now to have aches and pains - shoulder pains wake me up. The my pillow seems to hold its shape, even if I fold it under and seems to help me a lot.

I have tried fiber fill, foam, the gel cool stuff, and others. I now have three of these pillows on all three beds in the house and no complaints and some positive comments from visitors.

That is my experience. I hope you find a pillow that works for you. The wrong one can be miserable.

I remember feather pillows from when I was a kid and they were okay. Never had duck or goose down pillows so not sure how they would work or if I could even tell the difference between the two. I just hate sore and soggy ears. Current pillow is memory foam shreds that can be added or removed to suit your needs. It can also be fluffed and molded a little for different sleep positions. I wouldn't buy a MyPillow if they were the last pillows on earth.

Stuff a pillow case with sweet grass and lavender. Add or subtract as required.

I'm not fussy about pillows. The wife is. She loves the My Pillow. It goes where we go.

I traveled for work before I retired. The best pillow I've ever used was during a one night stay at a Marriott. It was one of a kind. Truly memorable - best sleep ever.

Should have bought it...stole it...traded a kidney for it. It was perfect.

Not found another one like it since - and I'm still looking for that pillow...

Might have to check out My Pillow.

Bought a Coop Home Goods pillow last week. First night was 'okay', but subsequent nights I've slept better than I have in a long time.
