BTW...a dead armadillo on the side of the road is called a "possum on the half shell"...!
Dad told me they were called Hover Hogs during The Great Depression. Everybody,without asking Google,can armadillos swim? Maybe later I'll tell you about my brother,Master Armadillo Catcher when we were kids.
Moss my Great granddaugter wants that possum,gonna name him Geroge Jones.

Maybe that's when they discovered that if not properly cared for they can cause a type of leprosy...!

I've heard that piney,people getting too close and personal with dillo blood caught Leprosy. Dillos give you Leprosy and toads give you warts,what's a man to eat when food gets scarce? 🥴🤢

The hole is about as big as the ball on the receiver hitch?
Off topic but that was the third hitch I picked up out of the road this year, and at least the fifth in my life.
It's also in the best condition, those things rust if you walk past them with a glass of water.
