Starlink

I remember seeing a button that you could click on once you logged into your account. I looked on my app and found this instructions but it is lacking in detail. Maybe it will help.

The place that says cancel isn’t a link. There is no way to cancel. Very frustrating. There is no way to contact them.

I cancelled under billing. IIRC there was a screen presentation with the balance, deposit and cancel subscription available. But that was when there was just Starlink "Residential" available, I see now they have Maritime, RV and Business available.

Resistance is futile…

I’m a throwback is that brick and mortar has substance whereas the net isn’t.

Starlink and LTD were just denied broadband funding due to declining speeds (Starlink) and inability to meet broadband speed standards(both);

Certainly matches the experience here.

All the best,

Elon Musk has recent history of making politically charged statements. I can never understand why CEO's do controversial things that may detract from the entities they oversee. Especially when something like this was presently under review by bureaucrats that might take offense at what he was saying.

The denying agency will surely defend that all decisions are based on merits only. Maybe so, maybe not. But why even take the chance?

Not sure what will happen with a snow load in the trees which surround him-- but so far he is excited about his system even with significant obstruction ....
When we had DirectTv, the view was through some trees. It was never a problem until we had ice build up on the branches. I don't remember wet snow being a problem but ice sure messed up the signal. Dry snow did not stick to the branches so was no problem.

Soooo, if StarLink is like DirectTV, he might see a problem with the signal.

Our speed has been excellent. Performance goes up and down, just like cable and cell Internet, but much faster than cell or DSL.

Kinda ironic that CenturyLink gets hundreds of millions of dollars to speed up access, yet we and many people in our county, are stuck with much slower speeds than Starlink. Our CenturyStink DSL is 1.5 mpbs, as are others in the county, and no amount of asking, begging, complaining to CenturyLink, local or state government gets faster speed.

Starlink beats any of the DSL speeds we could possibly receive.

It only beats the terrestrial options if you can get it. Some TBN'ers complain they've been on a waiting list for a couple years now. When you over-promise and under-deliver it's gonna catch up with you.
