Amish farm under threat from U.S. federal govt for refusal to abandon traditional farming practices

I would not pay any attention to news from a heavily politically biased source such as Rebel News. Not that are many sources that aren't biased and report with an emotional slant, but some are far worse than others, such as Rebel News. It is News sources like this that has created the divide our country.

While I tend to agree, i don't want to stick my head in the sand. From what I have seen they are the only people covering it. So if it's a right leaning news organization covering it, it's not news? You can look past the bias and focus on the facts, and googling the facts for accuracy.

I understand being skeptical, but with a bit of due diligence, you can fairly easily verify the content. Just because one side reports it and not the other doesn't mean it's not happening.

Don't know how it is everywhere but onsite farm stand sales may be different?

My grandfather always raised about 50 pigs with most sold at birth... he charged to care and feed and slaughter...

Raw milk from the farm actually killed someone.

BAD raw milk ... specifically
Perhaps they had a lactose intollerance
I used to drink milk straight from the cow

I think the Amish are getting picked on, Leave Them Alone, theirs is a good way of life

The real news here is that:

When an article starts by saying early on that the lawless federal government sent armed agents to raid an amish farm... you kinda already know the beliefs of the author and, at that point, it's going to be an opinion piece, not a news article. There's a distinct difference between the two.

Just because the author believes one way or another doesn't change the facts. Even if there is bias it doesn't mean he is wrong.

Spent several minutes looking and have not been able to find a single 'news' article. Everything starts out with heavily pointed language and much of it links to a talk show host who's own lawyers argued in court should not be believed.

This one seems to start out with less bias but it creeps in later on.

The incident was in '14 and the case was closed in '16:

It's been in court ever since and it seems the farmer has been noncompliant with various court rulings and orders. When you don't comply with a Judges orders, things don't do well.
