When I'm done splitting there's enough "little stuff" under the grate of my splitter that I grab a pail and pick it up for kindling. I've never made purposely made kindling as there's no need to.

Also, I scoop up sawdust, put it in those small plastic grocery store bags, add some used oil in it then tying the top shut, and it's a much better kindling yet. lol

I thought it was pretty hot out yesterday. All I managed was to make some softwood kindling from some drops on the landing. :giggle:

Every fall I fill this kindling rack behind the stove. This is left from last year. If the wife lights a lot of fires more gets used.

Nice to see a well-used real deal wheelbarrow. One of the most common things I see in the transfer station metal dumpster are cheap wheelbarrows with broken wheel hubs. After barbecue grills and lawnmowers of course.

I borrowed a trailer the other day to pick up some nice red oak that the loggers left behind on a neighbors property.
It was a 2.5 mile round trip, and using the trailer I was able to make 3 trips. I still have one or two more, but this would have taken me forever without the trailer.

I’m grateful for the use of it. Now I just need to split it all

Yes, I have to figure out something to do with it.. maybe a table base or something I don't really know yet. Needs to dry out for a while in my garage first.

What is it, an anaconda tree?
Yeah, I'm going to go with the Anaconda tree.. the tree it really is is too far gone to tell, so Anaconda works.. thanks for the name!
