Why no Ecoboost in the F250?

18 pages and no mention or reminder that diesel has 14-15% more btu's per gallon over gasoline. 👍

Same here none of the LE ever shuts off their vehicles state, sheriff, or city police.

Here is some info on the State Patrol switching to electric. I think they liked their Gas chargers, but with Chrysler dropping the gas model altogether...

They can rename the car from a 'Charger' to a DISCHARGER......(y)

That doesn’t matter because a 2006 V-10 has more HP than a 1990 5.9

For any diesel before DPFs, you know it's true. The DPF cost diesel engines substantial efficiency but it was very necessary to drastically lower the PM (particulate matter) emissions.
I disagree there: The DPF doesnt cost efficiency, its the EGR to lower peak combustion temperature which lowers efficiency and increases PM, which makes DPFs inevitable.

Thats why most modern European engines move away from EGR. North American engines not so, because their buyers are biased against DEF after years of misleading propaganda by mostly Navistar and John Deere who promised a Diesel only solution, with Navistar complaining at the EPA about the performance of SCR technology of competitors. In the end, Navistar went to Cummins emission technologies for SCR technology after the company was nearly bankrupted and the CEO fired.

I’m looking at 4900 & 7400 6x6’s and a few 4x4’s.
Just waiting for the right one. Missed on 2 I should have bought….
Do they sell Rexroth or Poclain hydraulic front drive in North America? They allow front traction on a conventional bent front axle and a standard chassis height, because theres no diff housing under the engine.

It doesnt give the heavy duty offroad traction of a real 4x4 or 6x6 truck, but it helps not getting stuck on wet grass after dumping the 5th wheel weight, without the drag of a mechanical axle because the orbit motors pistons are pushed back into freewheel mode on the highway.

That is really cool.

I’m on 2+ years of DEF on a 6-7 Cummins and havent had a problem, yet.
