I have another issue with my Ford 5000. I use it for baling round bales of hay. The other day it was turning good and all of sudden it just stop working while engage. The next morning I tried it and it start working. I haven’t try to bale hay with it again. What could cause this to happen in case it happen again? If it’s the filter or strainer would I have to remove top plate?

I will try to post pictures tomorrow of location of PTO lever.

It will not hurt to check or change your fluid and it will not hurt to verify it does not have water in the fluid either. You could be able to crack the drain plug so water can seep out with it still engaged in threads. However, I would be sure the clutch is adjusted correctly.

Is the PTO on-off lever anything like the one on my Ford 6610 ? On my 6610 it’s very easy to accidentally bump the lever with my foot and unintentionally turn off the PTO.

5000 is same size 4 cyl tractor. Mainly HP is different.

You may be low on fluid.

I drained the fluid and it didn't look like any water in it. I will put new fluid in tomorrow. How do you adjusted the clutch?

I do not believe there is any adjustment for the clutch other than confirming the lever is operating correctly. The clutch is hydraulic so might be a place to perform pressure check but do not recall for sure.
