On a business trip to Parish was watching a young girl park a mini car the length of a motorcycle between two cars with inches to spare. A whole crowd of people gathered and cheered her on and when she finally succeeded they broke out in applause

my friends in Florida are still without power or water, and cell phone service is very spotty
thankfully they have a generator

landlady stopped over for a visit, very happy lady, sent her home with tomatoes and a green pepper.

Heavy/speed metal is not my normal genre, so trying to find something that works but isn't in the way of his busy guitar work was proving a bit challenging. Think I finally found an agreeable compromise.

You’re a better man (and musician) than me. I struggle up play music that I don’t “feel”. I don’t mind going outside genres that I’m comfortable with, as long as I can get into it, which in the case of heavy metal, I generally can’t. Anything that I came up with would not likely serve the song.

A scary grass fire a few miles up the road yesterday. 10+ acres last report and under control by nightfall.

Guys lost H&F. Behind most of 1st half but went ahead for the break only to be driven back remainder of the game. The girls were a bit puffed. Oh well, next time?

Today marks 39 trips around the sun together for Sophie and I. Blessed indeed. Dinner tonight at her favorite Japanese restaurant, Miyo’s.
