Good (actually Tuesday) morning. Yep, I and my guests, had a 'retirement brain fart' and thought that yesterday was Tuesday instead of being Monday... it took us until the early arvo to realise this. Oh well, it hasn't been the first time and it won't be the last.
Now that is one way to mess with us in the States......I started thinking that it was, indeed, Tuesday here..... nope it's still Monday. The mental gears were a'grinding......:rolleyes::unsure:

Fritz, I have both corded and cordless. If it's going to be a bigger job or many cuts-- the corded comes out. If it's just one or two cuts -- well then it's the cordless.
I used to have a Milwaukee sawzall, lasted over 30 years. The cost to repair were almost as much as a new one. Bought a Ryobi corded. My battery one is the Rigid full size. It has variable speed and 3 adjustments for the orbital motion.

The sun breakthroughs were just teasing.... light snow off and on. Only about a half inch, but the news showed a lot of wrecks because of the ice under the snow.
Now we have a high wind warning until 05:00 tomorrow. Gusts to 50 mph.

Got a few things put back to where they belong.... then the snow squalls stopped my progress. No need to rush....

Good point, I’m sure she will have a list regardless of what I’m working on. She already wants new light above the sink. Have a 3 ft fluorescent one that sometimes doesn’t light, then I broke a plastic socket base the other day

That didn’t take long, on our way home she asked me to fix the light.

However, if I’m removing the light I want to paint the ceiling under it.
Do you see where this is going.

It’s over! Our stint with Covid has come to an end. Both Sharon and I tested negative tonight.

It wasn’t bad, really. Tiredness, little bit of dizziness, stuffiness, bit of sore throat, and some funny tastes for a while. It could’ve been a lot worse!

And thanks for all the well wishes, guys. I bet it helped!

Time for a real good sleep. Good nite all.

Good evening all. 61ºF for the start, overcast, light breeze. Moderate wind with brisk gusts at times, overcast all day, some rain with frontal passage. High temp was 74ºF. Going to STL Wednesday for couple of days to see great granddaughter.
Don so how long until the new season? Thanks for showing us the farm.

Drew my guess is that deer love strawberries. Nice warm day in store.
Kilroy have fun with your tax work. Have fun refiring the stove.

Frits good to hear good day with family, great to hear daughter with hip replacement walking with no cane. I have the occasional wood pecker work on chimney cap, sounds like hammer drill.

Dave (sheltie) welcome to GM thread.
Drew I will be impressed if you get 14 mpg. The wind resistance will kill you.
PJ will on west side of STL in a few days.
Ken sorry you have to go back to work. Seems like a lot of kids have eating fads. Grill looks yummy. Good luck with woods clean out.

Buppies - no new bear photos. Only two spotted this past year and both
of those were at night. Bird feeders were still out and guess he wasn't
ready to hibernate yet.

I made a order at 9:00am this morning. Tracking shows it is 9 stops away. Should be here in less than a hour. Depends where you live how well Prime works.

Amen to that. If I see a Prime purchase in less than 2 weeks I feel charmed.

Good morning, the low temp is 31 and the high will be around 34°F. Wind WSW 5 mph. Cloudy. An inch of snow coming tonight.

I didn't do anything about the cable yesterday, but I WILL today. I have a chain on my electric chain saw that has seen the dirt once too often and I will use that to cut the cable. In the spring I will repurpose the cable for power to the shelter I keep the tractor in. That will give me two circuits into the tractor shed and I'll use the existing extension cord to jump to the shed I keep the Dodge in. What it will mean is that I will have two separate circuits and can run both block heaters at the same time. They will be protected at both ends, the breaker panel in the house AND a fused sub panel in the shed. I will also bury the cable about a foot or so deep inside PVC conduit.

Not much else going on today. Don't hold your breathe on the horn repair. That will depend largely on how long my knees will last being on them.

check, good to see you are over aligatoritis.

Have a safe day all

Poured first cup of coffee. 36° with fog this morning. Heading to 44° with rain. Took a long walk with Sassy instead of shop work. Good exercise for both of us. Need to get some papers prepared for faxing this morning. Amazon Prime package I got yesterday was a new Mesh 6 router system. May work on installing it after reading the instructions. Been having problems with old router dropping 2.4 band.
Squirrels can't get along on ground. But they can share a tree.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

54 going to 72. Winter is over?

Don, I enjoyed your farm stories and pix this past few months. Thanks.

check, glad you're feeling better.

Son, DIL and pooches left for home at lunchtime yesterday, so back to chores, and 5 minute nap.

I have galvanized metal roof panels on my little barn, nailed down with rubber washer nails. So, I decided to walk the roof and check the nails, tapping each one to re-sink any that may had loosened from the big pre-Christmas wind blast. What motivated me was a small leak in both of the fiberglass panels. These are old and have thinned. I inspected them, but no apparent holes or cracks. I took a shot at spraying clear Flex-Seal at suspicious areas, and will see if any progress after tomorrow's rain.

Brought a load of wood onto the porch to prepare for the coming return to winter. Then watched the beautiful sunset.

good morning all
46 in light rain, going up to high 50's in clouds and showers.
My day is committed indoors. First cleaning lady comes so I'll be puttering before she shows up, then
to escape her noise I hide in the office, and....has to be done. The big box of paper crap is today's goal.
All tax receipts, throw out the useless stuff, etc.

meanwhile have some important calls to make.
First to rv dealer. Hmmmm, think I found something affordable.
Have been brooding over spending all that money on train ticket.
this may be too small and cheesy but my Volvo can pull it, and it's built by the Amish in Indiana.
would be the smallest rv I've owned. But pulling vehicle, my Volvo, is super comfortable, and paid for...
Plus I figure I could sell this pretty easily when done with it. As inexpensive as it is, depreciation not that much.
Plus it fits right behind my house in the new parking place. I'd have to put the trailer behind the garage.
2022 Sunset Park Rv Sun-Lite Classic 18RD For Sale in Adamstown - RV Trader

I was attracted to this model by their use of wood finish inside, the knotty pine look I haven't seen elsewhere.
It's fake of course, the question is how fake? Shiny fake?...
going to take a ride out to see it, about two hours away, will pick up my friend in Lederach and keep going West.
He's 6'3" and a good guy to take along to see what fits. Plus he is recovering from cancer and really needs a guys outing.
He's also an antique dealer and jokingly I'm taking him along to evaluate the patina and finish of the fake wood..... ;)

All RV manufacturers in Elkhart claim their RV’s are built by the Amish.
Should have said Elkhart Area.

Figured out last night my weather station is connected via my old home network, which uses my mobley. I took that to VA with me, so a little too far for the WiFi to reach.
So I tried to connect it to my new Starlink network and that didn’t go well. It needs 2.4 WiFi. My Starlink was set to 1 band which I think is 5 GHz. So I got on Starlink router and selected separated networks. Still no luck. I even deleted my unit from the Ambient app and reinstalled, still no luck. You have to put weather station into setup mode, then connect to it with browser. I’m not getting the setup menu.
Now nothing is reporting.

Morning all, some rain, some clouds, going up to 60, so much warmer than normal.
Ground has turned to mushy.

Got the last outlet ground off the basement wall and attached the other outlets using tapcons so won't have to do that again.

Back to work,
