5 gallon bucketVery few have backup generators around here. When there is a wide spread outage, they truck them in. I'm thinking Moss has a good idea, fermenting alcohol. Multi use, burn it for heat, in a generator, drink it etc.

You know I have everything to build a still on hand. Figure I might have to distill drinking water in case SHTF.

It's perfectly legal to own and operate a still....
As long as you don't distill alcohol in it.

When my father was alive my parents did a lot of purging, so that we wouldn’t be left with quite the mess which their parents left them. My mother is still on the old homestead, living in the house my paternal grandfather built in 1927.That's a good use for it.
