Coffee is brewing. 26° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 34° with partly cloudy skies. Weather guessers were wrong. No sun yesterday. Did go out in neighbors woods. Set burn pile on fire. Then cleanup another area of his woods. May do some more of that today.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
ten day forecast surprisingly warm for January, though we might get a dusting of snow tonight.

Ron, those cardinals sure are pretty

somewhat disappointed that rv did not work out, but better I do my homework ahead of time.
If I go to a truck, means won't fit in garage. If truck had remote start, that would help.

what I really want....is an $81K Tahoe with Super Cruise.
unfortunately both powerball or megamilions tickets went into trash this morning with zero numbers.
good thing I like my volvo...

good mileage on truck Mostly. Do you use cruise control?

heating pad on neck, still bothering me, feeling a little old. I guess I am...

28 going to 43. Now, no snow predicted, just rain. :(

BEF, were you up at Afton? Lately I shifted my hiking to northern Virginia...soon will do the section through West Virginia to Harper's Ferry, and touch the Maryland state line, then switch back south towards Buppies. They finally got about half of the Skyline Drive opened after all the ice damage, but many of the trails are still a mess.

Mostly, that was a lot of driving. What kind of truck do you have to get such good mileage? I drive like the proverbial old man much of the time, and still only get 19, unless I only measure from the top of the mountains to my house, when I can get 26. 😁

Ron, must be hard to hold a lens steady when it's that long...you've had good practice.

We got our outside decorations down and stored for another year, and I split firewood while my wife did some inside "de-decorating." Even climbed up on the tree stand for the end of the day to say goodbye to another deer season, listening to the owls calling each other, and the turkeys flying up to the roost...later, looking at my trail camera, saw a nice buck had walked by an hour before I arrived.

Good Morning All,
27 going to 41 may be a bit cloudy today

Went down to the barn to feed cats with Cody. The headlight works really well for walks in the dark.

Started the wood fire and quickly coming up to full temperature

Hope that wife will be able to sleep in some to get rested. She is struggling with pains and mobility but she is a trooper and hanging in there. I have a wheel chair lift in the van if we have to go back to using that. Keeping her as comfortable as possible is priority.

The van has a diesel fired heater that can be started remotely but unfortunately it decided to not work. It has been relatively mild this winter so it has not been too important to replace it. It is a 1000 dollar part from Mercedes. The last repair to fix the oil cooler leaks has worked out and it runs well. The ball joints are still the original ones. I replaced the struts with Koni's at 170K.
The truck is not used much but I need to rotate it to get it exercised some. It is a beast for trailer towing. Loading 10,000 lbs on the trailer does not slow it down much. 400 hp diesel power works
