Good morning!!!!

Poured first cup of coffee. 23° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 38° with partly cloudy skies. May finally get some sun today. Got a motion light replaced on Pole Barn yesterday. Finished making pins for aligning wheels while putting them on JD mower/snowblower. Will take wheel off today and install correct pin on lift arms. That should be enough for today.

Buppies, get well soon.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
37 out now, snow flurries in the area, should pass over in a bit.

Mostly, wonderful picture, I want to see you hold your foot like that.

Buppies, sure hope you are feeling better this morning. If not, go get help, feel better.
always wonder how you catch this stuff, where, from who...

I have zero plans for today. Had a long soak in hot tub last night, decided to pump it out in two weeks before I leave on train for Florida.
That way it will be empty while I'm not home. I need to wipe out bottom anyway, though it still looks perfectly clean. I got a small pump and then will shop
vac out the water, and towel dry.

My wanderlust wants me to get another rv and travel, but my reality may be to expand my garden and stay at home.
am pretty stubborn so probably will pursue the rv. Traveling and gardens don't mix well.

so not sure if I should focus on the Burpee catalog this morning or the Jayco lineup.
Need to order strawberries from Burpee. I like to support them because they are half an hour away.
But I usually buy nicer stuff from the nursery very close to my home. Just have to get the timing right.
Always a dance with Mother Nature, bringing in those racks of veggies, and worrying about a late freeze.

I did some work in the area of Port Arthur Texas and driving into the area there was this distinct smell of SO2 in the air from the refineries. People living there told me it is a comfort smell like going home to moms apple pie
Open a fresh box of Crayola Crayons. Close your eyes, inhale deeply, and you will be 6 years old again for a few moments 😁

Don’t forget to open the side and open the 2” PVX compression fittings on either side of the heater element and in/out of the pumps and blow them out with a leaf blower.

Don't ask me how I know this…

Good Morning.
It was 30 when I woke up, it’s 35 now that wife has been to the barn, and Zoe and I spent some quality time together.
It supposed to top 40 with a chance of snow tonight.

Yesterday was spent almost entirely going to Punta Gorda and back. I managed to have a head wind in both directions, that’s why I don’t buy lottery tickets.
It was a beautiful day there, 75 and a gentle breeze. Still lots of blue tarps for roofing and downed trees though.

Got home to grey skies and a damp 45.

Today, will be some chores and then taking the wife to see Ricky Skaggs at my favorite local venue this afternoon.
We used to have a condo on the street leading into MKY. Good plane-spotting on the morning walks and from the lanai.

Very glad we sold it before Ian rolled through!

Good morning to all! Low of 21°, going up to 48°. Sunny, no wind, no precip.

Another nice day is on tap. Changes coming on Tuesday... maybe.

The pond heater kept the middle section ice free. Upper and lower are frozen.... probably because the pump was still frozen.... I might have to get some hot water and pour it in the intake. There is one tiny ice clog in there right at a 90° bend.
But, I didn't even think of the hidden / burried hose that goes up to the upper pond.... if that's frozen, then game over for a little while.....hopefully its clear.

Still have 2 zones of drip to run. One is along the driveway fence, which is another area that remains in the shade. It is a long zone, slightly downhill, so maybe drained? I will soon find out. Right now, that bed has only 8 big planters, so could just hand water......

Mostly, glad you made it home safe. Now enjoy some quite rest.

Drew, you keep reminding me of driving past Rohm and Hass on I-95 in Philly. Boy did that stink! There are still studies about the contamination and cancer cases in the neighborhood surrounding the plant. I was always amazed that a chemical plant was right in the middle of a large residential neighborhood!

Don, sorry aboutthe return trip to retrieve your bag of goodies.... BTDT.
I make it a habit to always glance back and scan the area now.....

We were going to install the Mr Cool system in the new house, but held off when we got one of these:
We did talk about the Mr Cool again this summer..... we might still install one now that they have the multiple head units.

Outside temp is now above freezing, so going to get started on the agenda...

Everyone have a great day!
Jersey city had more contaminated sites per square mile than anyplace else in the country.

Onyx Chemical and American Agar both made Agent Orange (among other things). onyx was in the middle of a mixed residential/industrial area (which is what happens in places that old) and AA was diagonal from a major hospital built in the ‘30s.

it’s just the way things were back then.

Hey, dumb idea here, but it is one of those “pre-coffee” spitballing’ -type things…

if you very-finely pulverized some charcoal and spread it in a 12”-18” wide swath on the ground along where the hose is buried, that might help accelerate solar warming of the ground and free up your hose quicker?

just an early-morning thought, don’t mind me . . .

The flexSeal is used on the bottom of the house shoes.
I uses shoe goo for a pair of my shoes when the sole came away from the shoe with a very temporary fix, threw the shoes away.

Before and after 1st coat of wife's refurbished house shoes. They are taped good and the overspray on the sides is on the tape.
Now to wait 24 hours to see if 2nd coat is needed.

If you do a second coat, I would try to “texturize” thhe bald spots a bit to minimize slipping on wet, smooth surfaces…

36, rain has ended, and will shape up to be a nice 52F day.

Buppies, hope you feeling better.

Mostly, beautiful GGD.

Lots of dogs taking their owners for hikes on the trail yesterday, but had to do a double take when I saw "Savannah."
