Good evening all. 35ºF for the start, fog, calm wind. Light wind, partly cloudy sky and high temp was 67ºF. Chapel to start day, the pancakes for breakfast the meal delivery, got the route with most meals(19) to deliver. The several stops wit 2 meals to frop off, several places where the stop within walking distance. Lunch when we got home then nap. Did get some maintenance done on Peugeot, rear brake adjustment, redid sensor on front fork and clean/lube chain. One of the jockey wheels missing a tooth will have to get new ones.

Spike Glad you did not lose power. Our power lines buried from sub station to homes.

Coffee is brewing. 27° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 33° with partly cloudy skies. Got old TV delivered and mounted on wall at neighbors place. Programmed my new TV to work with one remote. Got tractor out and helped another neighbor take down broken tree limbs. Then hauled it to burn pile. Did watch some NASCAR. But did not stay awake long enough to watch race that started at 8 pm EST. It did get recorded. Will watch it today. While I conserve energy.
Dove waiting for ice to melt. So it can get a drink of water. It did thaw by yesterday evening.

Worked on LLC taxes...completed Income Statement and Balance Sheet and Notes. Ordered Turbo Tax Business from Costco online ($30 off)...took over 11 hours for them to send the activation code. Got it at 1am. Weird it would take that long. Will start downloading it now.

Ron, our bird baths looked like that, with peaks of solid ice the morning it got down to 14.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

took the dog up to the woodlot. We were supposed to do some work, but by the time we got ambition to head up, I made the executive decision that “I“ was too sore to work, and Mrs gave ZERO argument (I can’t imagine why). It actually worked out well: after we went up and down the hill with the dog, the wind started picking up, which would have made dropping any trees iffy. I don’t like iffy - the last time the wind made things iffy I landed up replacing an $800 chainsaw. . .

The rest of the day was “energy conservation” themed. Which means that tonight I must shell and pickle those eggs, and hard oil another 2 dozen for the subsequent batch.

Currently it is a relatively balmy 44.6F, and the HVAC did not come on three nights in a row - yay woodstove! That included the 19F we saw fFriday night.

Mrs had the rough day of recovery yesterday, I am feeling it more this morning than yesterday. Primarily in the back of the calves. I may break down and apply some straight methyl salicylate, and go to work smelling like a giant Life Saver

I went to start up the side-by-side yesterday, but the battery had gone down too low, so it is on the trickle charger and I will try again after work. It started right up last week after sitting for three weeks, so I hope nothing moved in under the hood and caused a short. . . The fuel pump spun up but when I turned for the start I just got two clicks and it died. When I let the dog out in a bit I will check charging status.

47 outside this AM. A few degrees more and that's all we are expecting today.

Managed to get some more siding up on the Milk House. Still need lights for the inside though.

Not much on the agenda today. SO has a checkup, so a road trip is in order. Also her surgery was totally denied by the insurance company. So once again, we enter that abyss. Funny how that happens. These insurance carries need a total overhaul on everything under the sun. Not happy today.
