Good morning! Low of 34°, going up to 55°. Then it all changes again.... 2 days ago it was forecast to be dry and nice. Now tomorrow will bring back the wind and very good chances of some snow.....

I guess RNG and Scootr let the door open and the fan on......

RS, sorry to hear about the woman getting bit. Good for you to stand up as a patient advocate.

Rip, good to hear the SO is progressing and walking a bit... slow and steady...

Drew, great job on making the RV "yours". Sounds like the first trip plan is common together.
I have laid in bed many a night hoping that the knee would miraculously feel better by morning.... I have now given up that hope. It has gotten worse, to the point, that there is no relief at all by morning. Swelling is down a bit by morning , but pain still persists.

Going to run the drip system today, being it's not frozen. Mother nature is only providing a one day window of opportunity. Some of the plants are really swelling their buds.

I am on the fence on wether to get the tractor out and clean up the mess that the idiot neighbors made on the road. It's still probably just a bit too wet, there are still some puddles in the ruts. I was thinking to try and get it done before more moisture arrives......
What's the worst that can happen?

Everyone enjoy the day!

So, they didn’t give the chance of sleet just a fine coating.

Having been discriminated against for being a white male, maybe I should join the cause. But I tend to stay away from such radical looking groups.

Wunderground is hilarious, now it’s 79% chance of snow. Keep changing the predictions to what is happening.

Fireplace cleaned out in two pail loads, think I left it too long

Rewired sons Dual turntable and now it is not humming anymore, son happy and now on the way to his friends.

Now need to find something to get wife and I out of the house on this cold, dreary day.

When I went past house that put garbage in our cans in the morning yesterday, the stuff was still there. When I came back from HF it was gone, must be back in town.

Went to tractor supply after HF to look at rakes, the ones they had looked like they would break before I got home, so left empty handed from TS for the first time.

M7040 - great barns- nice to see how well kept they are.

BEF WeatherUnderground is famous to me for changing their forecast After the event.
Say clear and sunny, while it's cloudy and raining, then refresh and wala they are now correct, almost as if they forecasted it

44F and sunny @ 13:15, heading up to around 46F for the high for the day. Low this morning was 22.6F.

Woman is in bed resting, said She feels weak. Hasn't eaten anything since She started feeling bad AFAIK, although She was up at one point late last night while I was out in the garage ... so She may have snuck into the kitchen for a little nibble. Need to check and see if She is due for another dose.

Birds and squirrels all feasting at the feeders this morning.

Got router put into fixed base last night, 1/4 relief bit installed, and height set with the MicroJig depth gauge and started routing the relief cut for the first slot. Couldn't find the written instructions from MicroJig so I downloaded them to my phone and I'm glad I did: they say when routing a grid with crossing lines to route across the grain first to prevent/minimize tear out at the intersections. I had the guide all set up to do one of the long runs with the grain.

Seemed to go pretty well, will take some time to get a feel for the router and get comfortable with it.

Since I'm routing across the width of the table top, I can use the 2 halves of the Swanson saw guide and the shorter HF saw guide to get 3 relief slots cut before I have to swap out the relief bit for the dovetail bit.

Fuel gauge in the torpedo heater is down to around 1/4 tank, so might make a trip out to grab some fuel ... or not.

Vacuum hose and adapter made it back from Illinois ... to the same Amazon facility up in Twinsburg that it left from. Has now been transferred down to USPS in Akron and is out for delivery. Very strange.

Think I'll get the order for plywood placed today at Menards down in Massillon. Have decided to go with 1/4" TigerPly Edge Hardwood Plywood for the drawer bottoms. It's the thickest (.234 vs .185) plywood they carry and is 7 ply. Not cheap but should be fairly durable. Probably head down there tomorrow to pick it up when it's a little warmer (calling for low 50's)

Hope everyone has a great Saturday ... (y)

Good you are keeping an eye on the dose because missing one or more can ruin the treatment with Paxlovid.

Thanks for all the well wishes and kind thoughts for The Woman.

I just checked on Her, She was sleeping pretty soundly and I got the "Go away and leave me alone" ... when I woke her up to inquire how She was doing.

RNG, I'm currently asymptomatic (although I did sneeze once yesterday - but I attribute that to breathing sawdust) and feel just fine for the most part.

If I go out today I'll probably swing by the pharmacy and pick up some more COVID tests just to have on hand.

But no current plan to test myself.

We can talk about discrimination because of attempts to burn our house down and burning a cross on our lawn and other overt discriminations activities after we adopted a black kid among the other adopted kids.

So we would have good cause to be out demonstrating against white KKK people and other supporters of racism and discriminations.

Like helping society taking care of a black kid would somehow be a very threatening thing to the neighborhood.

But the revenge is that the kid grew up and got several degrees and is doing very well and is now getting her promotion to GS14 in civil service. She is working at a GS15 level and would likely be at that pay grade in another year which is as high as it goes unless part of the executive group.

There is a great deal of satisfaction in following her hard earned success.

The impression some may have is that it is handed out and other white people did not get promoted and were discriminated against but in her case she worked her butt off and deserve everything she gets working 80 hours a week or more on average.

And going to college and grad school she worked full time on top of that.

Good for her, M7040! I know how gratifying it is to see your daughter grow up and be a success. Been there done that.

34F and clear @ 19:30, heading down to around 31F for the low.

Just came in a bit ago to grab something to eat.

Woman had gotten up earlier this afternoon which I discovered when I came in from the garage at one point. Told me to stop creeping around the house like She was dying or something ...

She said She was feeling better, but then started feeling worse after She took her next dose of Paxlovid which I have no reason to doubt. Says it leaves a metallic taste in her mouth.

So I'll need to keep an eye on her, to make sure She takes the full course.

She went back to bed a little bit ago.

Got pulse ox meter and infrared thermometer ordered from Amazon and they will be here tomorrow. Had meant to do that earlier but kept forgetting to.

Made some decent progress on routing today.

First relief slot I cut:

IMG_2256 copy.jpg

The actual dovetail slots came out much nicer, but will still need a little cleanup done on the exits:

IMG_2260 copy.jpg

Total of 6 slots fully routed:

IMG_2257 copy.jpg

The ones in the center were a real treat. Arms really aren't long enough to reach them so I had to climb up on the table and route them out while kneeling on a piece of foam board. Will be glad when those are all done.

MicroJig Dovetail Clamp in a slot:

IMG_2258 copy.jpg

If I can knock out another 3 slots tonight I think that puts me over 1/2 way there on the slots on the width.

Hope everyone had a great Saturday ... (y)

Good (Sunday) early arvo. Overnight Low of 16C and it's presently 22.5C, mostly overcast & calm. There was a surprising 35.0mm in the gauge @ 0730... the rain (with thunder) started at around 0030 and was continuous until 0730. It was 'surprising' because the Guessers said that there'd only be a chance of rain... maybe 2-3mm.

Yesterday's High temp did reach 34C, followed in the late evening by a Low front that dropped the temperature and, obviously, brought the rain.

Well, I'm back from Church and the rest of the day is "His'".

That's about it, take care all.

Good evening all. 35ºF for the start, overcast, drizzel in area, light breeze. Light wind day, overcast all day, trace rain on ground, and high temp was 45ºF. Bike ride to start day, 64 miles temp did not warm up much during ride, saw a mink crossing road and down the dam and head into woods. After lunch nap then dinner at Manuelito's with stepdaughter and her hubby. I have better luck here with Wunderground's forecast then some of you.
Kilroy nice contribution. Hope you minimize the number of critters in crawl space.
Ron hope limb cleanup went well. Hope you figure out how to tell Xfinity cable down.

Coffee has finished brewing. 26° with partly cloudy skies. Heading to 42° with mostly cloudy skies. Got all the larger limbs cut up and moved to chipper pile. Did same at neighbors. Was very tired by the time I got home.
Found why my tractor would stop running. No fuel was in filter. Opened up cap on fuel tank. Filter filled up. Looks like I need a new fuel tank cap.
Still cannot get a message to Xfinity that I have cable on ground. May have make a trip to one of their stores.
Going to be a conserve energy day. Maybe some NASCAR.
Prayers and best wishes for all.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, the low temp was 23 and going up to 27°F. Wind SW 9 mph. 40% chance of flurries.

I'll go out about noon and plow again today. More snow coming Tuesday.

Ron, can you see where the vent hole is on the tank side of the cap? If yes, then use a meat skewer to poke out whatever debris is in it. Worth a try.

Have a safe day all

For its size Lexington seems to always have something going on.

I still need to get over there for some Snow’s BBQ.
Yes, lots of smaller communities around. There is always something going on. Last weekend was a local VFD fundraiser Pork Steak meal drive-through. I sold tickets and we did 930 plates. So, always a lot of support for these things. Actually, there is more going on than I attend. Today is a chicken take-out in Serbin Texas for the Lutheran Church. It's a way to drive, but we will get dinners.
Although Snow's BBQ is local, I haven't been there in years and years. Last I heard, you have to order ahead and wait in too long of lines for me.

Good morning to all. On third cup of coffee, 55 degrees headed for 80 today. Yesterday stayed in the low 60's and was cloudy. A wonderful day to work outdoors for me! Installed (2) motion detecting wall lights yesterday and added motion detecting flood light bulbs to existing fixture. So far so good.

American Legion Pancake breakfast yesterday was a good time. Saw some locals I had not talked to in a while.

Blessings, and hoping all have a great day.
