Another regulation issue is some of the departments in the fed system. They seem to think they can make law. Scotus already said they can't but they still do. They make suggestions and house and senate pass a law and the president signs it in as law.

I may not l Iike some laws but it's done according to the constitution. Maybe the atf should read it....

At the far ends of the property I get behind, wind up using the backhoe/chainsaw then wheeled trimmer followed by the Husky weedeater to reclaim areas every few years. Stupid multiflora and willows take over fast.

Some refer to it as the "Administrative State" where we now have "agencies" that make rules that could never legally be passed as legislation. These same agencies rigidly enforce the rules while actual laws go unenforced. Our founding fathers are probably spinning in their graves.

Some of the biggest polluters are two stroke outboard engines...there are very limited electric outboard options...the realistic alternative is four stroke outboards...

That is for sure! I have a lake home on a large inland lake system in northern Michigan, between the two largest lakes is a 5 mile river, the last thing I want is to get behind a putt putt pontoon putting out a smokescreen.

Not quite the same thing. In most cases HOA=suburbia. A battery tool should be able to do anything a suburbanite needs to do. Out in the country where we have some "elbow room", maybe not so much. I have a battery string trimmer that works fine trimming around flower beds, etc., but for cutting brush along the side of the road, etc. I want something with a bit more oomph.
The market dictates the future, there are a lot more households in suburbia than the rest of the country. That’s a lot of people pushing for the direction of the market. Not saying it’s the right way to go but numbers speak louder than anything else.

Democracy is rule by the majority but so is gang rape. The market will cater to the numbers but will provide for the minority if there is profit, government rules no so much.

Seems like there should be some incentives for trading in 2 strokes for 4 on both state and federal levels and also incentives for manufacturers to stop producing the oil slick creators...!

There is already enough mercury in fish and gas and oil are loaded with it...

Wow, I think you’re going way out on a limb when you start comparing democracy to rape! Oh

True democracy work just like that if the majority votes the minority has no recourse. 2 wolf and a sheep voting on supper is another way to put it.
Brutal but true for pure democracy, good thing we are not a democracy and there are some safeguards. The majority is not always right........but a lot of folks seem to think that they are and forget the rest.

The masses and especially the electorate are not known for always making the wisest decisions...

A Republic is defined as a representative democracy.

Nobody’s trying to marginalize you. I’m just pointing out the irony of how we look at things differently depending on how close to the fire we are.
Cities suck!
City people suck!
We need more factories producing things here in the US!
Where do factories locate?
Near cities.
Why?
Because they need a workforce.
I'll never live or work in a city!
I'm a farmer!
Hey, we're getting a new factory!
New factories are taking up farmland!
Factories suck!

My two stroke doesn't pollute much... it hasn't moved from the shed where I put it 3 years ago.
Someday I'm going to have a bigger boat with about a 20hp 4-stroke, but I won't spend the money until I start using the one I have.
!2 foot aluminum with a 3 hp Evinrude... it's like a moped on the water. :D
