TM1900 Caroni flail, which belts at what tension?

The general proven rule of thumb for V belt tension is as follows:

The force deflection tension method is the general rule of thumb for this using
the V belt tension gauge.

a. measure the distance from the driven pulley to the drive pulley center to center length.

b. once the length of the center to center distance from the drive pulley center to the driven pulley length is found
the amount of deflection allowed under tension is 1/64 of an inch per inch of span for a new V belt AND NO MORE.

c. the V-belt is properly tensioned.

Good to know...

That power belt looks promising. You said your flail has a spring loaded and adjustable tensioner? That's a bit odd isn't it?
Yeah, for 62 bucks I'm going to give it a try and see how it does.

Please do. I may end up using one on my Maschio when I need belts.

I changed my Caroni flail belts only once in ten seasons, I do now keep a set on the shelf for spares, I like the looks of the 3B43 banded Belt and would like to see how it works……found a Goodyear on Amazon for $48.
