Good morning!!!!

Morning all, 39 going up to 46 and heavy rains have slowed to a trickle.
Up late since son was out late with friends.
Dr. appt. went ok, upped my medicine, he has seen the same issue from others that had alligatorsaurus so who knows how long this will last. More bloodwork to do and another visit in 2 weeks.

Bird -good to hear from you, hope things smooth out and your Alzheimers does not progress
RS - those are some pretty nice plans-what SW do you use to do the 3d layout?

PopGadget - glad you caught that and no fire- frustrating when the smoke get let out.

I have used coffee grounds in many of my plants and garden, trick is not to use too much and mix it in. As for unused coffee grounds, never bothered, a lot of ways to change soil with cheaper/simpler products. The used grounds help in some plants, others don't seem to care. PH etc. does not seem to change much and it takes a while to break down.

Wife wants to go hang out with some cats today-oh well, hope we don't end up taking one home.

Son told me he wants to learn how to use the saws. happy me

Be well,

Good morning! Low of 44°, going up to the new high of 59°. Wind advisory in place until this evening. Highest gust was 45 mph last night..... actually early this morning at 01:30.

Breezy already, heavy dark cloud cover, but only a 20% chance of a sprinkle. Probably going to be an inside day.
But the car is due for another oil change already......

Don't have any oil or the filter..... might have to get put off until next week. Then I can stop at Costco for the oil. Not going there on a weekend......o_O

I'll go to the local auto store for the filter today, which will give me an excuse to stop at Harbor Freight.... for something that I didn't know I needed.....;)

Bird, Good to hear from you. Continue getting better!

LFN, good that you didn't get bit by the alligator.... get to feeling better soon!

PopG, wow! That short could have been bad! Glad only repairable damage.

The buds on the plants / trees can't decide if they want to pop yet.... probably good that they don't. We always get a late cold snap / snow the end of March, early April.
There are some mums just starting to put out some green leaves breaking through the mulch... a good sign.

Ordered 28 tons of gravel yesterday. I called 2 different suppliers yesterday. One is an actual quarry, the other buys gravel from that same quarry..... The one that "buys" from the quarry was almost $200 bucks cheaper!
Probably due to delivery costs. The quarry is about 26 miles RT, the cheaper place only 9 miles RT. It was still pricey---- $455, but the quarry was $644.

Soonest delivery was on the 25th..... BUT, the quarry could deliver early next week.... not worth $190 to get it sooner!

Everyone have a great weekend!

I looked at the 24 volt control wiring on the furnace and don't see any problems. The way it can happen on this installation would likely be in the connections around the transformer for the control wiring. But the transformer is connected to 120 volt underneath the transformer and the 24 volt wiring on top of the transformer so there is separation. The control wiring also connects to the relay that activates the burner or controls the air gate for the draft air. Another area that looks ok.

62°F and 0 rain

My door track awaits. Only 10 4ft sections to be assembled, mounted, aligned, only 236 screws and lags - piece of cake.

Guys got annihilated in H&F last night, but the stuffed salmon was delicious.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

35F and cloudy @ 15:00, but the Sun is trying to peek through.

Got hopper and deer feeders refilled yesterday.

From the looks of it, probably should have given the deer two buckets instead of one - they had it cleaned out in no time and started going after the cracked corn on the ground I had put out for the birds and squirrels:

Probably haul another couple of buckets of corn out there for them today.

After that got shelf sanded and 4th (last) coat of poly applied, still have about 1/3 of quart left.

Later, after the poly had dried I got the shelf put up:

It's screwed to the furring strip that it rests on in the back, but I still need to screw it to the brackets once I locate some screws that are short enough not to go all the way through the plywood.

Also got the cobwebs on the wall and ceiling in that area vacuumed up. Textured ceiling continues to fall due to no primer having been applied to the sheetrock when it was originally put up.

Woman came out around that time in Her nightgown and slippers to inspect my handiwork and scope out the dust collection system and was suitably impressed (or, if not, was doing a very good job of faking it ... )

Also got the hooks for the 4' light installed and got it hung. It was the only one on when The Woman came out to look and She said "Turn on the short ones ..." so I did and decided I liked that better than just the single light.

Then I pulled down the two Red Pine 4 x 4 x 8's off the lumber rack and swapped out the 220 grit disc for an 80 grit on the ROS and got all four sides on those cleaned up:

Still need to do the corner radii on those, will probably use the little HF 1/4 sheet sander for that.

Once I get that done I'll start trimming them to length. Still kind of in a quandary on workbench height: my back doesn't much like me bending over and 35" seems kind of low for the table height (I'm over 6' 1" tall)

OTOH, the current table saw is a tad over 35" and if I want the workbench to double as an outfeed table it really can't be any taller.

Decisions, decisions ...

Got some lint rollers ordered yesterday for The Woman, plus a router centering cone, a foam insert for holding router bits, and a pair of hold fasts. Those are due in this afternoon.

Not sure on the agenda for the rest of the day. Woman is making noises about "needing help" so will have to see what that's all about.

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday ... (y)

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 9.2C and it's presently 12.4C, but it is early and it's predicted to go up to 21-23C. Calm and clear.

I'm off to Church in about a half hour... the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.
