Good morning!!!!

Good morning! 41˚F North wind at 18mph, cloudy mid 50s later. only .05" rain
.
There is no dought my wife has covid and has either taken the test too soon or a false negative or she dose not shed the virus enough for the test to detect it. I'll test her again when she wakes up.

The Farm sent out a "any help please" message yesterday as they did not have people for all the activities. I felt bad I could not help but I'm still testing positive. The Dr. said as long as you are testing positive you are contagious. They have me scheduled to work a lot next week and I continue to improve so I think I be able to grab some seat time then.

The contractors finished screening in the 15'X15' back porch and it looks good. No more bugs to bug us and the rattlesnakes can't get in. We should have done this 5 years ago.

Time to take the morning dose of Plaxlovid and get that bad test in my mouth 30 minutes later. The best I can describe the taste is like chewing on an orange peel with no orange taste only the bitter taste.

Wngsprd, I'd go with a helicopter delivery.

good morning all
warmer day, light rain out now, going up to 63.

helicopter – designed to protect intercontinental ballistic missiles
Spike, ? how does that work?

WVH, how about a pic of a nice fat bass? have fun!

Ron, that must have been a very interesting visit to GM. Hopefully they will ask you to drive
a Cadillac Lyriq for a year, to get your opinion......... (y)

today's the big day, water goes in the rv, and since the hose will be on, will give it a squirt.
Hopefully when I go out this morning the fridge will be nice and cold. And hopefully the hot water heater works.
I was going to take rv to TSC to top off propane tank but since it has more than half left, and my first stop has a propane fill tank, will
wait on that. One less embarrassing attempt at backing rv down my driveway, entertaining my elderly neighbor across the street looking out her window.
Nothing gets past her, a built in security system for my home actually. She's lived there for more than 50 years.

going to take one last dunk in hot tub today and then turn the heat down to 70 after giving it an extra dose of bromine. Found out that draining it still left a lot of water
in folds and worry about stuff growing in that. So for 70 watts or whatever it takes to run the pump, going to leave it on.

hope you all have a good day.
Don, hope you and wife both feel better.

Morning all, 39 going up to 62 and cloudy
Happy St. Patrick's Day to those who celebrate

Was warm enough that I planted some radishes and pulled some stubborn weeds still growing under the plastic cover in the garden.
Tomato plants have sprouted in their pots downstairs.

Lots of green showing up and the few forsythia the deer did not outright kill are starting to bud.

Off for bloodwork this morning as the Dr. office forgot to order 2 of the 3 panels and I did not find out until I got to the lab site :-(

Don - feel better sorry to hear you and the Mrs' are both suffering.

May get to raking out the beds around the house and spraying for stiltgrass this weekend if the weather holds and the winds are calm.

Be well,

ken reminds me I have potatoes to plant in the potato bags today. Not planting in raised beds, the bugs got them there.
hmmm, I think I have some radishes to plant too....
would be fun to come back in two weeks and find a few small ones

Well, the sites can be pretty large, and silos spread out. So, transport, monitoring patrols and fast response may be needed.

They position themselves under the reentry vehicle before it gives up its warheads thusly intercepting them before impacts.

LOL.

I once looked at a place in Montana that had a silo carved out on the property.

50 mph winds overnight, and cold (again). 8º this morning, still pretty breezy. I heard a loud BANG last night, about 9, with a strong wind gust. Went out this morning for a look see. Didn't see that anything hit the house, so I don't know.
Local Pheasants Forever has a banquet this weekend, I got a call (just after the bang, last night) and they are overbooked and may not be able to fit me in. I mailed the check in 3 weeks ago and he just got it (10 miles away - thanks USPS). Spots for 320 people - he has 360 applications.

Good morning! Low of 19°, only 20° now.... and snowing. Intermittent snow through Sunday. The guessers were definitely off.... forecast was for 2", got 6" overnight.
Sure is pretty, but winter needs to go already.....

Areas just a short distance north of here got 14" dumped. The temps are supposedly creeping above freezing tomorrow, so hopefully some good melting.

Wifey is a little mad, the peach tree started to pop open it's buds 2 days ago.... bad timing. We are sure hoping the ones that didn't open survive the cold.

Drew, have a safe and enjoyable trip. Sounds like everything is in place for a successful maiden voyage. Enjoy!

Ron, the trip to the proving grounds sounded fun. Did you wear the hidden lapel camera?

Thomas, you put the wrong zip code on the snow delivery..... it got dropped off out here by mistake. Can I put a "return to sender" label on it?

RS, the workshop is really coming together nicely. Better hurry and finish.... I hear those plants in the landscaping calling for attention....

Don, I hope you and the Mrs. get over the alligagoritis quickly.

Rip, any pics of the milkhouse project?

Wng, nice trail pics. My vote is for a helicopter drop of those poles.

Another inside day aside from shoveling the walkways.....
I'm starting to go stir crazy....

Everyone have a great day!

Good morning barely almost noon, 45 going to 55 with rain coming soon

Had a nice brunch this morning
No agenda but will see what I can get into. Want to clean up an area with rocks and grade it but will see.
Daughter has been invited to join the National Security Council. She is pondering it.

successful morning
did the repairs on the cable grommet, still have to super glue the grommet in, figured out a way to hide that white power cable,
then was happy to find ice cubes in the freezer and after hooking up the water,
had hot water in the sink. Then I went and hand tightened every single fake nut on the wheel covers.
moving clothes in today, no you only need one light jacket, not two...one fleece, not two. One bathing suit, etc.
but when it comes to electronic cables and chargers, bring them all....

washed the whole rv again, and dried the windows so they wouldn't water spot. Even remembered to clean inside of driver's windshield.
Usually you find its issues when you drive into the sun. They really did a nice job detailing this rv so the window was clean already.
Surprising how much streaking on sides already just from being rained on.

Frits, that's quite an honor for your daughter.

Then keep a pencil and paper handy ... ;)

Personally, I'd like a pony ... but have no expectations whatsoever that the site owner will deliver one to me.
Yep, not too many freebies around here. Just word erasers. Let us know if you get a pony. I think we'll have better outcome if Drew hits the big lottery.

42F actually colder now than early this morning. Winds are a blowing. I started the fireplace after weeks of non use.

Don, I hope you and your wifey get feeling better soon.

Billy, your hikes never cease to amaze me. I'm thankful just to see the pics. I would eat like a ravenous wolf if I burned that many calories.....wait, I already eat like one, so I better get to cracking. Will they let electric bikes on the trails? Horses?

Ron, what a cool experience to go the proving/testing grounds. I would love to do that, or better yet, work there....(if only it were a wee bit further south, like in central Texas). ;)

Son turns 13 today. He is a blessing. 13 years and 9 months ago, we weren't planning on another kid, but God thought otherwise. He has won math competitions, chess competitions, 400 meter dash competitions (2 now), and he loves to fish. Now, if I could just get him to do his chores without prompting. :)

Cracked Waterline sitrep: I have a very small crack in a Tee on my 2" main waterline. We have it dug out. I will have to break the main line. I'm a bit apprehensive. I was going to do it late yesterday, but worried that the stores were closed if I needed another fitting. Also, with my son's b-day, it's a big weekend for us. I might try Sharkbite fittings that go from Pex to PVC 3/4". I bought the $17 silicone tape to wrap them like they recommend. If I can make the PVC fittings align, I might just go all PVC and get about $50 back from my yesterday's jaunt to the box store. Since it is a very slow leak, I might wait until warmer weather. Anything below 60F is freezing to me. Ha ha.

This old Snapper rider: My FIL (passed away last May) had tried to use the old snapper to clear out some pasture for a deer feeder. Ended up tearing up the deck, and the height adjustment mechanisms...I went by the old lawnmower repair shop, (wow does he have a lot of old/broken stuff lying around), and he had a Snapper mower deck. $10 bucks, Score! and a slightly used blade, $10 bucks, Score again! Now I need a battery and some PM to be Forrest Gump like.

Have a great day all!

Good Morning!!!! 46F In Lompoc, CA.
Partly to mostly cloudy. High 63F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Glad you got unstuck, Check. How do you tell how firm or deep the snow is before it's too late?

Made zero progress on the truck yesterday. But did get a big run around with the tow service. Starting at noon I asked for a 3PM pickup, then got regular updates that they couldn't find a tow company in their Network. By 4PM they still had nothing in place, and said I could go outside the network but would have to pay up front, then be reimbursed. They passed me off to another tow company, who wanted $300 for a six mile tow, but they'd be coming from outside our immediate area. OK, now I got the same run around from that outfit, and the truck's still sitting here. The cluster **** is supposed to start again this morning at 9 o'clock when I'm supposed to get another pickup time.

But I did get some firewood cut to shorter lengths, and some laundry done in the newly repaired washer. Small victories. Also ordered a 96W charger for this laptop, as the one I've been using is intended for smart phones and isn't keeping up with demand.

Me and the cats and dog here are getting to be good friends, as all want to be in my lap in this rather chilly house. SoCal isn't all that warm in the winter, and the natural gas price hikes are blowing big holes in my friend's budget.

TGIF gang!

65°F and no rain. Happy St Paddy’s Day

Didn’t quite get the new slider installed yesterday. Mike had the demo done, but we had to build a new concrete curb. New door is sitting in the hole when Mike discovers it is missing parts, the rollers. May have to return it to Lowe’s for replacement.

Off to town for Friday shopping.

Corned beef and Cabbage then H& F

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

The Astro/Safari was a FANTASTIC vehicle and if they had still been making them when my Caprice wagon died I would have gotten one of those instead of the F150.
We wish GM still made those. Handiest vehicle we ever had. Still see some in good shape on the roads from time to time.
