I had to replace the hydraulic pump and metal pressure line going to the block. After about 5 minutes of running, I get a squealing sound from the pump area. I had that sound before the metal fluid line ruptured at the fitting which is why I replaced the pump. Do I need to vent/bleed the line or is something else going on?

I'm wondering since the two pumps are in series, gear driven off the engine, if my problem might be the steering pump or the gears themself? I should also mention the 3 point is not working.

sounds like your in pressure relief, do you have the hoses looped in the back? do you have a backhoe? I need to make a loop when i disconnect the backhoe so I am not dead heading the pump

I had to remove the frame for the FEL due to a fracture for welding and disconnected all the hoses from the block. For the backhoe I did have those lines looped. I started the tractor yesterday and it ran quietly for 5 minutes at idle but then it developed a fairly loud squeal from the pump area. The front steering pump had quite a bit of vibration. I turned the wheels to make sure the power steering cylinder was primed. I had power steering, but the vibration continued.

if you crack a line does the fluid come out? if the 3pt is not working you prolly aren't looped right, the 3pt is the last item in the line before the tank I believe.

"The block"? is that a diverter block with a spool on one side you can rotate with a screwdriver? If so, and you didn't rotate it when you removed all the loader plumbing, that's how you messed up the pump and line. You might be about to mess up another one.

Good question, I don't recall seeing a spool that can be turned. I'll take a picture tonight and post.

I did crack it and fluid came out. Not sure about looping, all the flexible hoses have been removed for the FEL & backhoe.

I have all the flexible hoses removed and the pressure valve in front of the seat set at the halfway point.

so there are no lines hooked up at? and fluid isn't pouring out? are the filters blocked?
