In my opinion everybody should lay off the insults. Our server farm can't handle the stress.
It identifies as a farm.Yeah, but is it a real “farm “? Ha Ha![]()
So I guess it wasn't farmland. No ag acres going out of production. They add money to our town coffers but use no town services of any kind .
If the solar farm hadn’t gone in , it would have been 500 single family homes with 2.3 children each .
You can stick with your opinions, we'll stick with the facts. Not sure exactly what it is you (and others) don't understand about someone having an OPINION...
Obviously those that would argue with a blow up doll have no clue to the definition of the word...
I've LMAO at all the arguments...I know it's not funny laughing at people falling down stairs...but in this case it's hilarious...!
Now go look up the word "opinion"
Miners, as in "Data Mining"And the technicians that run the place are "farmers"...!
Now don’t be gettin all warm & fuzzy on me.Rare we agree, but I’m 1000% with you on that one!![]()
Obviously you don’t recognize a renaissance man when you see one. LOLYou can stick with your opinions, we'll stick with the facts.
Wife and I just purchased 6 acres of mature oak trees. We're in the process of clearing off a portion for a build site.Miners, as in "Data Mining"

So I guess it wasn't farmland. No ag acres going out of production.
neither.... we Grow potatoes on our Farm . We are Farmers .So is it farming potatoes or mining potatoes?
If only the people building PV solar farms knew that!Since you're in Kentucky like me, I'll just say this... I know someone who is a top dog in our state Energy and Environment Cabinet and he is not a fan of solar farms.
- They use up valuable land that could be used for agriculture or other purposes
- They don't generate nearly enough electricity to justify the cost
- They are an environmental nightmare when the panels reach end of life
- They don't work when covered with snow or ice
- They harbor other problems and require constant maintenance of grounds or hardware
- They require the energy produced to be stored in batteries which are also an environmental nightmare
You could likely contact KY EEC and plead your case. Not sure they could stop a solar farm on private lands but they may "discourage" it enough to cause the owners to change their minds.
The West Tennessee Solar Farm in Haywood County on Interstate 40 is one of the largest solar panel farms in Tennessee, capable of producing more than 5 million watts of electricity annually. If only the people building PV solar farms knew that!
But wait, they are building PV solar farms anyway. And after building one they build another, and another. Perhaps the people actually building and running the things know more than you do?
Facebook has built a server farm on 1000 acres in Huntsville AL. Has contracted with TVA for a power exchange, building many large PV farms in nearby TN. Somebody has experience with megawatt PV systems and thinks it works.
So you do realize that this is also a rest area for the freeway? If you look at the site from Google Earth, you see that was not " prime in-production farm land", it was a combination of field and woods. It appears the solar panels only take up about 20% of the 25 acres so approximately 5 acres or so of just solar panels, the rest of the site is a rest stop and educational facility. Perhaps you are the naïve one for believing the propaganda that is pushed out against solar energy. Perhaps you should do a little more research before posting such an ignorant set of "facts ".Here is the website: West Tennessee Solar Farm
From the website: The West Tennessee Solar Farm generates enough energy to power 500 homes each year.
Also: The 5-megawatt West Tennessee Solar Farm is one of the largest solar-generating facilities in the Southeast.
So the largest solar farm in Tennessee can only power 500 homes a year? This is a waist of valuable land for a renewable energy system being sold to naïve people to take their money ... a big scam!
I know a guy that's working at the solar farm under construction here that is supposed to power 275,000 homes and generate approximately 1.6GWdc. I told him that I'm looking forward to lower electric rates from all that free energy and he laughed.
