And a BMW, KTM, Husaberg, Tesla, Beta, Yamaha, Honda, ...

But you promised the government would fund it for me.
Ford, GM, Dodge, they all got some kind of a bail out during the great recession.

All of the surrounding states with wind farms weren’t affected by the cold weather. Even in Wyoming the windmills operate in cold weather. The wind facilities in Texas weren’t properly equipped for cold weather. The same reason why many of the Texas natural gas plants were inoperable. They didn’t winterize the facilities.
I wonder why Texas needs to winterize anything now...

Ok, I did my conversion wrong. BUT, a 7500 system under idea conditions will put out 10,000KWH max per year. These numbers are based on what the panel manufactures themselves say. They base this on ideal conditions 5 hours or so a day so there is room for error up and down. You're saying that in less than ideal conditions you are doing that? I'm asking...

Not sure where you are getting this. There are most definitely differences in panel and inverter manufacturers, efficiencies and degradation over time.

My system is way less than ideal because it is roof mounted. Not a perfect angle, not a perfect direction and some shade from tall oaks at certain times. Nonetheless, 20MWh over 12months on a 15kw system (15kw panels and 15kw inverter, I’d prefer a bit more on the panel side to make up for inefficiencies and increase area under production curve, but just don’t have the room on that roof, 42 panels east up half of my 40x50 shop roof pretty completely).

Low production day over at the solar farm with all this fog .

It is a matter of semantics. Yes, Ford did not receive a loan or "bailout" from TARP from its start in 2008 to when payouts stopped in 2010. But Ford did receive government assistance with a $5 billion Dept of Energy loan in 2009 to help retool plants to make more energy-efficient cars. Ford also asked Congress for a $9 billion line of credit in case it needed it but did not draw funds from it. Ford lobbied for TARP to help out GM and Chrysler, as their 80% shared supply chain would have suffered if GM and Chrysler failed, so indirectly Ford benefited from TARP.

Same with solar. The solar industry has benefited from the government programs that provide tax benefits from installing a solar system at your house. But it didn't directly receive funds. Same with property tax relief for putting in solar farms. They don't receive money, they just don't have to pay as much, if any, property tax. Some solar companies have received government funds, like Solyndra, which was a disaster.

Just to be pedantic, No, Ford did not receive a federal bail out. GM and Chrysler (Daimler) did.
Actually they did, just not as much as Chrysler/whatever and GM. They claimed they only excepted bail out money Internet for to help the others. Kind of like being forced to grab the bag of money someone is handing you ha ha. And by the way, I am not afford hater. I have driven Ford trucks and cars for the last 30 some years, I just like to keep the record straight.

Low production day over at the solar farm with all this fog .
It’s also a low production day in the field that the great looking dog is standing in.

Wow!
(a) citation, please
(b) like with Nuclear Plants?
(c) Yes and no. but once it is here, it's American labor that builds and, maintains them and- as any businessman knows its the LABOR COSTS that getcha.
(d) Government 'subsidizes' all manner of ****- I'd happily bet a dollar that you enjoy a benefit or two of one or another or even many 'government subsidies.' e.g. Got a cell phone? Use an Internet? Drive on an Interstate? Use a GPS in your vehicle? Tractor? Combine? Purchase Gasoline? Diesel? Consume goods from another County, State, Country? Get emails from the county AG Center? Take medicine? Snail mail anything?

The landowner's simply looking to employ his land to it's highest and best use likely turning unproductive acreage into an income stream, profit center with depreciation or a triple net lease with semi-annual COLA increases - it's capitalism Jake.
Charles,
I know you weren't replying to me, but I might just have some of the info you were requesting. First, I can get citations stating wildlife deaths caused by wind AND citations that state the opposite - therefore, research/citations in this case is probably useless. I can say however, when I lived near a large corporate wind farm there were workers that went out every shift picking up dead birds. I do Not have an actual number/day and I would doubt you would ever get an accurate count because wind (and solar) are the green babies and therefore can do no wrong. Case in point, I was on my tractor several years ago (next to the aforementioned wind farm) and inadvertently chopped up a bald eagle while cutting hay - made a h*ll of a mess. While I was cleaning out the cutter an inspector from the wind farm saw me and turned me in to the powers to be. Next thing I know game & fish, BLM, and several other fed agencies were knocking on my door wanting to charge me with killing our national bird. Long story short, before I went to court, I noticed that the wind farm had several killed bald eagles on their property around the bases of the generators - I took pictures.

In court the feds wanted me locked up and a huge fine imposed on me because I didn't see the eagle I chopped up. I countered that the wind farm was killing a far greater number of eagles than I did and they weren't getting fined/punished. The feds asked me for a citation to prove that and I showed them the pictures and asked if it wasn't possible the wind turbine killed the one I chopped up and flung it into my field. They confiscated my pictures and negatives and let me go with a warning. The next week the fencing between my land and the wind farm grew to over 15 feet tall (not sure how any wildlife that made it on their property ever made it out) and became a privacy fence - I'm guessing so I couldn't take anymore pictures. I continued to see inspectors running around in their trucks several times a day - my guess was they were still picking up dead birds.

Second, what exactly is wrong with nuclear plants? Clean energy, doesn't take up nearly as much room/land per KW, is safer and more economical than most other generation methods. Sure there is the storage/disposal of spent rods, but those rods are not much worse (if at all) than the disposal of solar panels.

You can check previous posts I've made in many different areas/topics here on TBN when it comes to green energy. I keep asking about these questions and all I get is double talk. So I'll throw it back at you for citations on disposal issues and carbon emissions the Chinese emit during the mining of component parts/minerals with solar as well as a cross tabulation of statistical evidence as it pertains to bird kills on wind farms and how they mitigate the killings as well as the statistical evidence surrounding the fear (and the misinformation) surrounding nuclear energy.

If you still have time left on your hands, how about statistical information on hydro or geothermal 🆚 wind/solar.
