last night's dinner at friends a lot of fun, home made lasagna, yum, and sent home with a big piece in tupperware.

driving to local school to retrieve my tools this morning, then hope to stay outside most of day

finally sucked it up and made the bed in rv, a task I always dread because it means climbing around back in a corner. Yes using flat sheets made
it much better; will see if they pop off as fast as the fitted sheets. And I saw another ant, sigh. Sprayed a little more Raid, going to give the driveway another shot
of peppermint oil. Raid smells terribly inside but is sure effective.

most annoyed that my big fat strawberry was totally munched before I could get to it. Pecked by birds. If it happens again, guess I'll have to put down bird netting.

Poured hot cup of coffee. 49° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 66° with slight chance of thunderstorm. Got JD mower tire back together. Sharpened chain saw chain and cut up a couple of fallen trees in woods off front yard. Hope to get tire on JD today and do a little trimming around buildings. Still need to spread weed killer today.
Oldest sons birthday is today. Gives you something to think about when your kid turns 60.

Good morning, was raining overnight and very wet outside, no rain in the FC today but returning tomorrow. Already 57 now going to 75 today

Ron I am always amazed at your bird pictures, Bright yellow really lights up. How long have you been into birds and is not hard to identify the different birds? We spend much of our time when weather is nice outside on the balcony looking at a few nearby trees full of life.

Our local orchard is now open again and we may make a run up there for strawberries. Did some more tilling yesterday of a rough area that the mower does not like. Hope it will smooth it out some.

David I am glad you got the gate fixed. The flapper wheel is your friend

Drew, glad tools were located.

I left a pop up awning for scouts to use at an event, they said they returned it to the scout house when they were done. It was never seen again by me. Remember, a scout is honest……
They may have returned it, and someone else related to scouting took it .

The largest threat to life today is abortion. Until they “fix” that, I don’t want to hear about “gun control” that threatens the innocent. Take it to another thread.

Worship went well, new projector cable worked flawlessly like they should.
Usual lunch place, but small crowd.

The worst aspect of “gun control laws” is that the rights of Innocent/Law-Abiding people are compromised because of the actions of criminals, rather than their own good conduct.

Touchy for sure. Guns themselves haven’t killed any more people this year than last year or 50 years ago, but we sure have many more people willing to kill people using whatever they choose. Read something recently where Great Britain is confiscating knives for same reason.
We need to address the problem - the person choosing and using the weapon. Likely we wont as there are no socially acceptable means of dealing with the people that need help, usually because those most in the know refuse to admit there is a problem. Somewhat understandable, but I think I’d rather be known as the parent (person) who recognized a problem rather than the parent of the person who just committed mass violence and I didn’t act.

I used to say “Blame the parents”, but things have been deteriorating for so long now I might have to start adding “and the grandparents”

Ouch, can see your problem. What I was suggesting was a loose hitch that when lifted would allow post to hang close to vertical and when let go would be loose enough to remove. Good luck.

Even a $9 Horrible Fright sling strap would help
