73F and sunny @ 14:00, heading up to around 74F for the high today and 82F tomorrow.

Calling for showers on Friday then a five day stretch of nice weather.

Local weather guy reported that we are nearly 3" above normal rainfall (surplus) for this time of year.

Woman dispatched and headed down to Autozone to pick up the warranty brake pads for the Sprinter.

Got Menards order placed and it's ready for pick up. Got another 30 bags of black mulch to go with the 20 - 30 we have left from last year, plus 25 bags of lime for the lawn as well as some other odds and ends.

Did not go up to the shop last night and do any welding.

Did go out in the garage, was up pretty late.

Got the following seeds planted in pots:

11 Cucumber

17 Yellow Crookneck Squash

4 Zuchinni Squash

9 Waltham Butternut Squash

6 Buttercup Squash

Grass due to be cut again so will work on that this afternoon in preparation for spreading lime tomorrow before the rain moves in on Friday, maybe spread some mulch as well if I have time for it.

Later in the evening run down to Menards and pick up order.

Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday ... (y)

While there I'll check out the 16" EGOs. I saw a good deal on-line at ACE but when I went to check out the shipping charge was over $200 - more than the chainsaw.

Buckeye, I had to order my EGO tiller attachment from Amazon.

I stopped at Ace today to look at Ego again. None on display, just in boxes. Asked a worker (who says he has Ego) about the 3 different power heads on the trimmers, he had no idea.
Same price everywhere I’ve looked.
They don’t carry the tiller. As I was walking out, a lady was carrying in one without the battery, must be having issues.

The rider would not start this afternoon, but the mouse debris is gone, the wiring harness is intact, the battery took and held its charge, the spark plugs look to be in decent shape, and fuel pump seems to be working so it looks like the fuel and/or fuel lines and filters are in need of some attention. That was the plan for today so I took a break and watched the bird wars over the suet cake.

Dr appointment midday meant no work today.
Scheduled a minor procedure for next month.
All my doctors just under an hour away, closer to where I worked. I like them, so don’t want to change.
My mail box alarm triggered at 10pm last night. Got my Messicks order and 2 Amazon orders scheduled to arrive today.
Got the last bolt in the tractor tire, but no loctite on them yet, so did not move the tractor.
Got the memory cards for new game cams, and an SD card adapter for iPhone, makes it handy to view the pics. Testing camera out near my barn.
Now with the BX, been contemplating trading the L3940 with BH for a small track loader, like SVL75. Tractor mostly used to unload pellets and bring them to porch. And it can’t lift a ton. Just a dream, but thinking how nice it would be
using at the lot if I build. 290 hrs on the tractor.

Also been considering a dump trailer.
The price soon talks me out of both.

“Back in the day” when the 610 was new they used Wisconsin engines and had clutches rather than hydrostatic drive. That was when it was Melroe. Later they went to Hydostatic drive and mostly Kubota engines during the Ingersol years, then when the Koreans took over, they switched to their own engines.
Yep - about three years into my ownership, I had to change out the friction discs. Had to buy a large-size chain-press tool and luckily the discs were not ridiculously expensive. It was a melroe, and has the VH4D engine.

I should still look into if that one I spotted at that repair shop is for sale…

Good morning! Low of 36°, heading up to 75°. Unfortunately, high wind warning for today / tonight. Up to 60 mph gusts.... now saying windy for tomorrow too, but slightly less gusty at 40 mph.

I'll put up with the wind this time, just because it's bringing in moisture and good chances for good rains this weekend. I bet that will change.....

I had to do a quick errand yesterday, and spotted a Blue Atlas Cedar tree in the nursery..... We had 2 over at the old house which became a real 'statement' in the landscape. Told the wifey about them being about 5' tall and only $40..... Guess what has to get planted?

Considering that I saw some at HD last fall, at over $100, couldn't resist.
It will replace a Crepe Myrtle by the pond that didn't make it through the winter.

Will get that tree planted, and maybe a a couple of smaller flowers (if requested by wifey). --- all depends on the arrival of the winds.....

Kilroy, sounds like you're having fun!

Ron, great pics of the Jays!

Jay, glad the smoke is going south of your location. Hopefully will stay there....

RNG, hope the painting goes well and it turns out as you expect. Hope you can find the tire leak....

Everyone have a great day!
If it ain’t fun, it ain’t worth doin’

I'm sitting in the dentist chair yesterday waiting to be tortured, and doc turns on this infomercial a/v screen on wall.
Was talking about using psilocibin for certain mental health issues. They literally take you on a controlled acid trip.

well, it's all "natural"...
so is dying, I'd prefer not to speed that part up.
Looks like Wagtail and Alien have a good choice... ;)

Psilocybin or magic mushrooms are naturally occurring and are consumed for their hallucinogenic effects.

They are psychedelic drugs, which means they can affect all the senses, altering a person’s thinking, sense of time and emotions. Psychedelics can cause a person to hallucinate, seeing or hearing things that do not exist or are distorted.1

The key ingredient in magic mushrooms is psilocybin. When psilocybin is taken, it’s converted in the body to psilocin, which is the chemical with the psychoactive properties.2

Magic mushrooms look much like ordinary mushrooms.

There are many different types of magic mushrooms. The most common ones in Australia are called golden tops, blue meanies and liberty caps.3 Magic mushrooms look similar to poisonous mushrooms that can cause a person to become very sick and can result in death.
Lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury are all natural. . .

@KilroyJC - something I did when learning to run an excavator, and a technique I taught to green operator, was to use your fingers. Most people grip the controls with their hands. I find using your fingers gives you more ”feel”. 40+ years later, I still generally use my fingers unless I am hogging dirt.
I deliderately set out to use a light grip, simply because of my 610 Bobcat years (all muscle!), but I will give that a go - if nothing else it will help with the carpal tunnel 😁👍
