68°F and .16 inches rain

PW continues. only got 1 wall done yesterday. Rain never got really bad, but the thunder and lightning were unexpected.

Guys pulled one out at H&F, it was close. Delicious salmon dinner.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good to hear your are making progress. The property looks amazing. Love the big roofs with overhangs like you see in the Alps or Alaska.

Are the buildings divided by what they are used for?

On reading and writing. We had one kid that was told by guidance counselor to not expect to go to college but could always flip hamburgers. We weaponized that by saying we will get back at her for that and show her she was wrong. And boy was she wrong and she showed her what she could do and went on the college

A couple of other kids decided they would no longer do homework and we said that is fine if that is what you want to do and in fact we would not even allow them do any more home work. Pretty soon after some of the other kids were reporting them holed up in the bathroom studying on the sly and their grades improved dramatically

BEF, good job on the mowing. Seems like the neighbors keep a good watch.... mower would be safe in a shed?

Everyone have a great day!

When flying drone I noticed a red tractor peaking out of the back neighbor shed, but he lives there.

I’ve been mowing to property line, and not to road. Leaves a strange bit of grass along road, but I don’t want to mow to road without their permission.

63F and mostly cloudy @ 14:00 but the Sun is trying to peek out. Heading up to around 66F for the day's high. Looks like we got 0.72" of rain overnight which is good since the chances for rain over the next ten days appears to be very, very low ... maybe 20% on the best day and otherwise less than 10% most other days. Big Bermuda High setting up apparently.

Upside is that it should be absolutely fantastic weather to work outside and get some stuff done.

Got up to the shop last night and found a piece of thin-wall steel tube that just fits inside the nozzle of the weed burner. Will need to modify it slightly so that it fits in there snugly. Maybe a couple of small spot welds.

The OD of the tube is 2 1/4" ... so really only good for punching small holes in the fabric for seeds. Likely too small for anything in the way of plants.

I did order a few exhaust adapters on Amazon that will provide a 3" and 4" holes ... which should work for planting actual plants of some size. Will be here Sunday.

After that I came down and got 10 (of the 20) All Star everbearing strawberries potted up. These look much nicer than the Earliglow strawberries ... they have actual green shoots coming out of them. Will pot up the last 10 of those today after I fill the mealworm feeder.

Neighborhood cat came by for a visit last night while I was doing that.

Refilling the hopper and tube feeders also on the agenda.

Might dig out the Stihl pole saw and trim back the Japanese Yew at the southeast corner of the house. Kinda hate to do it as I know the Cardinals have nested in it but it's blocking the light to a planting bed underneath it.

We have probably 6 of these Japanese planted next to the house, 3' from the foundation ... which was a terrible idea since they get absolutely huge (20'+ tall)

Would like to try and remove and transplant all of them this year if I can managed it. They would make a nice privacy barrier over on the west side of the house along the property line.

Beyond that, I might hook up the core aerator and run that over the lawn again ... since it should be moist enough.

Miss Roy Jackson and Toppop ... and think about them quite often ... RIP guys.

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday ... (y)

Been a crazy night into day with ferrying kid to concert and pickup late last night.
To start again this morning.

Also dog is sick and cleaning that up while trying to find the kids outfit for the parties he is going to later is running me ragged.

If the dog does not get better tonight I will take him to the hospital in the morning.

Wife is stuck at work so will drive the kid, get back home, see if I can get the dog to eat some chicken I am baking now. She threw up the rice.

And his big concert tomorrow at a brewclub and Wife has to work tomorrow too.

Well back to chauffeur duty.
