Well, it turns out that my YM2310 is a gray market tractor. Who knew? The previous was rhetorical and completely tongue in cheek. It is very hard to get tone of voice across in the printed word.
Thanks bmaverick,
Eric
Eric, As the new legacy admin and owner of the Yanmar Tractor Owners Group, I've gone thru so much documentation the community has obtained for the past 35+ years. Even from members who have passed on, yet their inputs in electronic print is still available today in our massive archives. The community has been saved a handful of times and each time has improved for the better. We are retaining the vintage legacy of these machines for current and future generations.
TBN is only a small slice of the Yanmar picture. The other 7 internet tractor forums with the Yanmar sections give a bigger picture for it all. Not one place has the corner on vintage Yanmar like the Yanmar Tractor Owners Group.
Members from those other tractor forums have made technical donations, improvements, and upgrades to the machines. This wealth of knowledge has been captured at the YTOG.
When visiting the YTOG, it's laid out in a different fashion vs. a forum. It's more compartmentalized. Most people only see it for it's message board, yet there is a deeper aspect of other places on the site most people don't venture. We have a small staff of volunteers. If we has the capacity, the other Gray Market brands would be covered too in their own sections, just like it was in the days on Yahoo Groups. All of these below, we have the message board archives fully intact.
With the Mitsubishi-Satoh group, we helped save their community from extinction too. There really isn't a Hinomoto, Iseki nor Shibaura group anymore. We just don't have the people bandwidth to take it on.
