I am interested in installing a cigarette lighter on my tractor. I do not plan on smoking! It may be nice to charge a phone while working.

Has anyone ever added a cigarette lighter to a tractor without a cab.

Did it a few years ago on our TC40D... Wife uses it for that exact purpose... charging her phone. Used a marine grade outlet, figured if it could withstand a marine environment it would be fine on the tractor. It has held up very well... I do have it setup so it is powered anytime the tractor is running & is on a delay timer so it will disconnect from power after 20mins when the ignition is turn off.

I added one under the seat just last year to power an emergency amber light I put on the rops.
I used 12 ga. wire and routed it to the battery.

You would be better off with a USB hub rather than the old cig lighter socket that will most likely vibrate any adapter loose. Search hard wired usb for motorcycle that are weather resistant.

I installed one of those Voltmeter/USB chargers just like dj1701 linked. Later one I ended up installing a 12v socket for the beacon.

I installed a USB hub charger on my tractor to charge my phone so I could stream music to my headphones when mowing.

The Power Wagon has a USB outlet/charger - amongst several other type outlets. It's covered with a "snap down" cover. Nothing to loose or find when I use this outlet. Ever notice how every thing tends to roll way back under your seat.

However - I most frequently use the 120V inverter outlet to keep my cell phone charged.
