Car lift in garage

/ Car lift in garage #101
What are the best type of car lifts for a garage? A 2 post or 4 post?

With a 12-14 foot ceiling height and a 4 inch slab at 3,500 psi. Is that adequate for a lift?
Four post. If you're not working on brakes and tires for a living, four post. Plus, 4 post spreads weight out better on 4" slabs. You might not have enough Crete for a 2 post. I wouldn't risk that.

A 4 post lift is for car storage. A 2 post or single post is for working on cars.
It's darn easy to cut a hole in a slab, dig a hole and pour some ready mix in it.
Important thing is to be sure the bottom of the hole is very solid and clean. Use rebar hoops and verts when pour the new footings.
I got room in my barn. Would love to do this. It has a "dirt" floor. I'd just pour some 2x2x2 footers and leave the compacted stone dust floor in place.

I went with a 6" concrete slab and #4 rebar and the concrete was a 5,000 psi mix
