I remember the first time I saw him in Perry Mason.Being a child of the 70's, I remember doing a double-take the first time I saw (or more accurately, heard) Denver Pyle on a rerun of the Andy Griffith show, as the patriarch of the Darling family. His voice was always unmistakable, and despite not looking all that "Uncle Jesse" yet, there he was.
John Ritter was another one that seemed to show up all over the TV dial, in small un-named parts, before earning a household name in Three's Company.
Holy cow! Talk about a totally different person. He was in a couple Perry Mason episodes and his parts were nothing like the darling family.
