TYM T754 for Round Baling?

Does anyone use a TYM T754 for round baling? I'm looking at picking up one for a lot of tasks, but the deal maker or breaker for me is probably round baling. I've currently got a Vermeer 604K 1000rpm baler, and TYM shows the T754 as having an optional 540/1000 pto on their website. I'm on hilly ground and I don't know if the T754 is enough tractor weight wise. If I get the tractor I would have it ballasted.

I don't really want a machine that needs DEF, and older larger pre-emissions tractors are holding a real premium on the used market. I could potentially sell the 604 baler and go to something like a 504, but I kinda want to have an idea of what I might be getting into before pulling the trigger. The T754 looks to me like a good value, if it delivers as advertised.

Running on 1000RPM I am afraid you will not be happy with this combo especially on hills. On flat ground I would think a minimum of 90hp for a baler like yours. But I have no experience with Vermeer baler.

I'd guesstimate about 16000lbs, but I haven't put it on scales.

Kind of doubtful on that, friend.
With cab & no ballast says 5800lbs. Or you have 10,000lbs ballast

I’d suggest on old tractor that weighs at least 8,000lbs or more if on hills. A full round baler will push you, the tractor straight down the hill if it’s steep or slippery enough

I don't have the T754, I'm looking at it. My Case 2590 is what I'm guesstimating at 16000lbs.

No, you're right, I am thinking about baling with a T754. I'd like to move the 2590 off to a new home. I'm just worried about the T754 being too small.

Vermeer specs for the 604 Classic baler 60 pto hp minimum and 80 hp recommended. For the 504 Classic they claim 40hp minimum and 50 recommended. The T754 has 64hp at the pto so on paper it should work.

I just don't want to go out and buy a new tractor and maybe a different baler and then find out that combo ain't gonna cut it on a slope. It would be a lot of headache and expense for nothing.

I do not believe you will see 64HP running 1000rpm PTO speed.
