The one thing that you wonder why you didn't buy sooner?

Was wondering the same thing. Looks like it might be easy to tip over.
It looks OK to me. I might want to spread the load out on the feet. Just eye-balling it, doubling the size of the feet should do it. Depends on the quality, rebar, and thickness of that concrete pad under it of course.

I spent awhile modding a few of my implements when I got my quick hitch. The worst was the top link position...
I gave up on that top hook and use the included link instead.

Yes, that means still having to use one pin, but that's far quicker than having to do the lift arm pins no matter what

One thing I've noticed on cheaper quick hitches is if your running heavy implements you might have to do some simple reinforcement on top hook bracket fixed it in my case and never ripped the back of any tractor off.

A hydraulic top link makes using the top hook on a quick hitch a breeze in my experience (provided your back window doesn't have a film of dust on it) lol

I do have the hydraulic top link, but there was one implement (don't remember which) where the hook just wouldn't work.

I added a hydraulic top link, mostly to make my 3-point forks more useful. But it also makes backing up to an implement and picking it up or setting it down without ever leaving the seat a breeze. To throw the locking levers on the iMatch quick hitch, I just raise it to full height. I can even tilt it toward me, if I don't feel like reaching as far from the seat.

I wouldn't want to be without hydraulic top links, as they're great when using box blades or regular blades, and mowers, plus for many other things of course.

But I generally need to get on the ground no matter what, to manually adjust angles, or hook/unhook hydraulic lines.

It was the lack of extendable lift arms on the little tractor that made me try a quick hitch. With a bad back and knees, it wasn't always easy to move the implement to get the holes lined up. And it was time consuming.

It's a love/hate thing to me, but I like it enough to have left it on since I got it. Even though it makes it a bit of a pain to hook up PTO shafts by being in the way.

Guess I should revisit the individual lower hooks I bought at first but never installed. Then make something simple that keeps the lift arms at a constant distance from each other.

They already have something like that. It's called a quick hitch. :D

Yes, but with the individual lower hooks there wouldn't be a frame in the way when dealing with PTO shafts.

That upper structure of the quick hitch really serves no purpose in my case.

Pats quick hitch has a slide bar that holds the drag links at a set distance apart. I marked mine for each piece of equipment. They are all different. Once it's connected I hang the spacer bar on the fence where I store all my attachments
