There are 3 boards in the charge; 1) board for the display; 2) main board; 3) board capacitor is connected too. I do not know the answer to your question. I happen to a picture of the main board that I have attached. Maybe you can tell me. If the picture is not clear enough. I have put the charger away, but more than happy to dig it out and take some pictures.

looking up the mark 8, i see lightning snd fuse protection built in. I dont know how old your unit is, and if its the same.
